Never had any console or even a mobile phone until 1998. Then me and the ex got all techied up and had his & hers phones (Motorola housebricks) and a PC. Never been a gamer, but I play online Backgammon on a daily basis still |

I didn't get a PC until 1998! Yes, I was that late into the technical world!
Never seen the fascination of computer / Video games; to me, a complete waste of time!
Over the past weekend I have found a Commodore system, complete with tapes, player, leads etc. A little research today suggests, depending on the type, it might be of some value. It's not mine, possibly stuffed away in the loft by a previous occupant. |

Right now..I would bet someone new to games and started playing legend of zelda a link to the past..
they will be awed at the game..its a basic fact, you have to play games that have stood the test of time before playing stuff thats easily been forgotten, game archive wise.
well thats ma opinion and yer idiots if ya think otherwise |

Some of the best games I have played have not been recent, don't get me wrong the new games such as Resident Evil 7, Fallout 4 etc have amazing graphics and gameplay, but they are not as long. You pay about £50 for a game to complete within 3 to 4 hours.
I remember playing Final Fantasy VII and taking me months to complete. That was a game .
Some of my fave games are way before Mega Drive or Snes times lol.
Monkey Islands, Rainbow Islands, Bubble Bobble, New Zealand Story, Robocod, Mousetrap were very addictive games in my opinion. |

I will argue over gameplay every point I have to say, mario...almost any game trounced sonic..
even today I uphold why mario is better than sonic...and I am talking about the simple ones like nes mario ffs!
but for me...these are the games of my youth(on a social level)
superbomberman 2, 4 players obne screen, be a team or kill yer foes...simple.
mariokart...just be cunts to others...and be the best driver(I never liked the snes games...n64 for me)
diddykong racing , like the above in ways
streetfighter...mastering zangeifs spinning piledriver
speedruns at supermario world
the first time playing a 3d game...that was responsive..supermario 64(fuck tomb raider bitches)
as I mentioned earlier, chaos...a wizard sort of chess game...this game made friends and enemies
pilotwings snes/n64////just wow
aerowings on dreamcast...I'd just flt for the sake of it and land on shit that was unlandable
starfox..............snes and n64(all we ever heard was its 'nintendo' its cute and for kids.." fuck off and play it u cunt.
I have many more but I suppose I should wank |

Wizball.....,I had the second one, WizKidd.
Loads of games are popping in my head now, not main stream ones, but ones I was always on.

My first computer was an amstrad cpc-464, we were posh in our house and had the colour version and not green screen
The first console i bought myself was a Sega master system with Alex Kidd built in. My favourite game was Populous. It had over 5500 levels and i used to be up until the wee hours playing it. |

First one I bought was a Spectrum but the first in the house was the Binatone unit with the original tennis on it. The best period games console we had was a Mattel Intellivision which seemed years ahead of the competition but at a price.
Happy memories

First with my own money was an Atari 2600 from a car boot sale for £1 with 26 games... They didn't realise it was worth more, even back in 2000.
First new console I bought myself would be an Xbox 360. |
