"65p for a pint of McMullens AK I seem to recall...had a mate that when it got to 85p a pint said that if it ever went over a pound a pint he'd quit drinking!!"
I guess he stopped drinking in about 1987 then |

Oh God knows. I can't remember. It was the worst first pint ever though. My dad and his ex wife got married the day before my birthday and my dad - being tight fisted - wanted to hit two birds with one stone and take me for my first pint and take his wife for an anniversary dinner too. Problem was, they were at each other's throats and made it pretty rubbish, sitting there all moody. What a scence. |

"I remember I used to go to an 80s night in a local club which was;
80p to get in
80p a pint
80s music all night
"
Used to go to the now defunct Rockhouse in Derby in the mid 80's on a Tuesday night where the sold watered down beer for £1 a pint and had some rough looking topless barmaids on |

I remember paying £1.80 for a pint of Stella and £2 for a house double and mixer in 1998.
My last trip with work I was paying 85p for a Jack Daniels!

"I couldn't even tell you when my first pint was, let alone the price.
Don't I know you from somewhere ? You look like some politician on TV."
I'm even less trust worthy.
I do sometimes get mistaken for Eric Pickles though. |

You can still get a pint for that in Manchester but it'll be flat, orange and it'll stick to the glass as you drink it. |

The Garden of Eden in Beautiful North Wales |
My first pint cost 40p (Chinese, half a bitter & half a lager in a pint glass), a game of pool 10p and I think the Jukebox was 10p for 2 songs. If I went out with £3.00 I knew I would have a good night... and crash my moped into just about every hedge on the way home! |

"A lady doesn't drink pints
I can't remember exactly how much, but I think I used to pay about £2.50 for Harvey Wallbangers, back in the 80s.
"
It could have been £1.50 though.

"How much did it cost you from a pub/club?
I remember paying 77p for my first pint.
77p a pint I've heard of these myths haha
£2.30 for my first
Adam."
Seriously It is true, and for some reason if you were a member of our local trades club (which you could become at aged16) you could buy alcohol. Im not sure if that was the law but it worked for me |
