Mine is fake, and I have another fake name that's not on the profile but is my fake "real" name. I can count on one hand the number of people I've met from here who know my actual name. I like having a slutty alter ego. |

I don't use my real name on here; it's not very common and I don't want local men guessing who I am.

Ours aren't our real names but they aren't completely off the mark either, we do give our real first names to anyone we meet or intend to meet. |

People we've met or chat to a lot know our real names but we wouldn't put them on our profile. The internet is a vast place in which its surprisingly simple to find individuals with very little information. |

We don't have our names on our profile but when we get to know people we use our real names.
We have made some very good friends through fab. It wouldn't have felt right inviting them to our wedding if they didn't know the real us |

It never occurred to me to give out a fake name; I quickly learned I was in the minority on this. Same with the concept of a 'Fab age', equally this never entered by head. Possibly a little naive of me on reflection. |

Some people prefer using their usernames when meeting in person, or possibly get confused with the multiplicity of names.
I prefer it if you call me by my real name.
Or Mr Joe.

I have 3 real fake names.. depending on the group of people I am with.
This is my most recent fake name which I have used since i joined in 2011.
My next one I chose in 2006 when I was on another site which closed down so had that one 6 years and still use with those friends.
The first one was when I joined a band group in 2004 and those friends still call me Vix..!
The only name I never use except at work is my given name.
Think Cinn suits me really. |

Mine is part of my real actual name. But it isn't my real real name. Only a handful of people know it on here. It's weirdly retro; everyone over the age of 30 probably knows someone with my real name but no-one under that age ever seems to be called it any more. |

I only let those I meet know my real name, it's not a common name and I don't want randoms finding me outside of fab which I assume they could as there's very few, if any in Norfolk with my name I'm unique |

I used to always call myself my a fictitious name, but then I would always end up dropping myself in it by calling myself by my real name. So now it's just my real name from the start. |

and sometimes, I forget to tell people what it actually is (well the one I use) so when we meet and they say 'Hi Scarlett..!' I have no idea who they are talking to |

I always tell people my real name on here cos i have the memory of a fish and wouldn't be able to remember a fake name lol

I couldn't believe it when I met the man of my dreams and he was named Adam. We were destined to be.

You have raised a good question there... I don't remember what name I used, not sure I remember who I am half the time, different groups know me by different names, so I have to know where I am and who I am talking to  |
