I have noticed that this site is going downhill over with fake profiles
I think fab admin need to get a grip with this issue and sort it out

Its a hard issue to combat as the rate of them is astonishing but there are some good fake ones even getting everyone to photo verify doesn't help these days same with supporter badge best thing is cam to cam or snap chat cause u cant fake them. I'm sure more would be done if it could but I'm interested in everyone's ideas if anybody has any good ones |

How do you identify a fake profile?
I'm not looking for an example, I'm looking for a rule, ie "if a profile has x, it is 100% certain to be fake" - as that's the only way I can see admin "sorting the site out" any more than they currently do, which is with the assistance and support of non-fake users reporting specific examples. |

All that proves is a person I'd behind the profile. Doesn't mean they aren't a fake or time waster. Also who is going to verify all the new profiles? |

In what ways does this affect you OP ?
I've been here as a single and a couple, on and off, for 6 or 7 years
Not once have I felt I have been the 'victim' of a fake profile
I have, however, met some lovely people both socially and sexually
I am not denying that there is an element of keyboard wankers or an element of people just out for mischief.
There are, however, tools available to control this.
It strikes me that there are people out there who, rather than calling themselves to account over how they control their profile, their filters and their mailbox, decide that the best form of action is to deride the site, its moderators and its owners.
That's just poor form if you ask me. |

You are making a huge raft of assumptions here:
1) That there are as many fake profiles as you claim
2) That the only genuine folk have photo id
3) That there are no genuine people who are not shit scared to do photo id
4) That everybody spends 100% of their time farming their profile: no one has time for that so sometimes we're active, and sometimes passive, but being passive doesn't make us fakes.
4) That the admins give a shit
The real scandal is that the admins have done bugger all to improve the site since they bought it, and that was several years ago.
This is the internet, it's a free site, everyone and their aunt can join, and they do - the genuine folks stay and have a great time, the fakes get bored and wander off to yahoo or instagram.
Enjoy the site and bitch less.
In the end you only get out of it what you put in. |

I often wonder, how do some guys attract all the 'fakes' but others don't?
Is it the actions of the person who's attracting them that's at fault and not the site?
For everyone who's crying 'fake', are you reporting these 'fakes' so they can be dealt with? |

That can only happen if people report it when they see it...how many actually do? Or do they just pass by a post/status/profile and think 'someone else will do it for me'? |

If they are obvious who they are, why not just report them (at which point admin will look into it), block them (so you don't continue to stumble across them and move on (because life is too short to let inevitable dreamers 'ruin' your fab experience)? |

I've noticed a lot more people on the forums saying that there are a lot more fake profiles out there. Maybe the members should start reporting fake profiles and photos and support the Mods and Admin here. |

I don't think I have ever come across a fake profile. I've seen loads of shit profiles that I waste no more than a second on but I wouldn't even know what a fake profile was.
Op are they fake because they don't want to meet you ? |

I've been accused of that purley coz I don't drop my knickers for just anyone!
Report, block and move on.
I'm sure if admin get enough reports about the same profile they'll do something. |
