hubby is watching shawshank redemption he says its one of the best prison films ever made due to the fact he is a morgan freeman fan ,my favourite is the green mile cos i have a good cry
my question is what is your favourite prison film and why? |

Definitely Shawshenk and The Green Mile, but can't believe that nobody has mentioned King Rat or Papillon. Two great tales centered around incarseration, though King Rat by James Clavall is a far better read than the film. |

Like Chezza, we've just realised ourselves how much we like prison films. Have seen every film mentioned on this thread and there isn't a bad one among them.
We'd like to add Bronson to the list and although not technically a prison film, we do have a soft spot for Con Air(Prison Aircraft).  |
