So you meet a guy for the first time, he has booked a table at a lovely restaurant, you enjoy a beautiful meal, the conversation is great and the wine is flowing.

The bill arrives and he produces a Groupon voucher

How would you feel…….

I was on a date at a Mexican restaurant and if you signed up to there loyalty card you got that meal 50% off.

My pride and sense had never had such a huge battle before that day

Anyway, pride won and I never took the 50%

Surprised that the lovely restaurant did groupon vouchers and then quite amused.

I think there's nothing wrong with it. At all. A few of my ridic wealthy friends do that sort of thing all the time and I think why not?

I'd like the fact that he'd done a little research and not just plumped for any old easy option. It would probably only be a passing thought as bill payment isn't really something I'd qualify the success or otherwise of the night out by.

Grantham

I don't think I'd feel comfortable with a meal as a first meet.

Unless the social had gone so well we carried on and went to eat

"So you meet a guy for the first time, he has booked a table at a lovely restaurant, you enjoy a beautiful meal, the conversation is great and the wine is flowing.

The bill arrives and he produces a Groupon voucher

How would you feel…….

"

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

Like I'd met my soul mate lol!

I love bargains and discounts so I'd appreciate his money saving. And let's be honest in this age of austerity if you're too arrogant to consider someone may need to watch the pennies then you need to consider yourself superficial.

No no's on a date in a restaurant would be treated the wait staff like crap, not tipping, having a much more expensive meal/extra drinks then expecting to go 50/50 or using a mobile over dinner
