Ok I sudenly woke up and decided "screw this need a major life change as my health is a mess" and started eating Salad.
Now this is coming from a guy who's only acceptance that veg exists was potato's and peas, for the last 20+ years I would cringe if my burger had letus..
Odd part is i'm bloody loving these salads, had a prawn salad, a tuna salad and a spicy chicken one so far, even switched my for water!! (strangely the last few steaks I had before switching to salad, tasted odd to me and kinda wrong)
So anyone else find that after decades of being scared of a food type, they sudenly love it?
Wife is well confused.. |

I am not afraid of trying new things ... including food lol.. but some tastes and textures did not appeal to me when I was younger. I hated ... HATED asparagus when younger, it made me almost sick... and now I am loving it. Strange or what? |

I had same with Mushrooms, but now they are easily my favorite food
Though I think I may blame my mums cooking, the woman could cook an amazing roast but could even ruin canned food that just needed warming up :P |

i didn't think a potato was classed in a dietary sense as a vegetable but a starch...
anyhows i love salads but couldnt eat them everyday. Mine tend to be simple, lettuce, cucumber, a boiled egg, prawns, beetroot and a few baby potato's |

I'm envious, lol, that you are about to discover loads and loads of new tastes.
I've always eaten a vast variety of different foods, and can't imagine living with restricted menus.
Enjoy it, it's one of lifes many pleasures |

Actually had what you would class as a salad tonight. I just call it food, lol
Had some oven baked fish, with sweet chilli sauce on bed of crunchy salad, ie diced celery, tomatoes, diced carrots, diced spring onions, beetroot, radishes and home made coleslaw
bloody lovely it was too |

I am looking more to explore food as a healthy option, lost loads of weight over the past couple of years due to working 2 jobs, poor diet, lack of culinary skills and missing meals on a regular basis, far too much chocolate and cakes instead, just so lacking in energy now |
