Bradford

Well Tesco are spending 3.7 billion on Booker Wholesale. Well that gives them access to Premier, Londis and Budgens shops.

Some news sites are calling it a takeover and some are calling it a merger.

And I thought Tesco were skint

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

They may have made less profit this year but the previous couple of years were billion pounds profit, so they're probably not skint...

E.K . Glasgow

Could all corner shops become little Tesco's ? They'll own the brands of Premier and Londis etc will they put the prices up in those stores so we go to Tesco stores ? Only time will tell .

Rock

A friend of mine who works from them, told me that they had to reduce her wage (reducing staff's premiums from double time to time and a half for Sundays and bank holidays!), to keep the company afloat! Of course, Dave Lewis gets his 3 million bonus for turning the company around, whilst my friend loses £100 a month now!

How can a company expect loyalty from there long serving staff, if they don't give loyalty to them? Total disgrace at today's news!
