Will you also watch it? It will be in the cinemas from tomorrow. A sequel to the classic trainspotting, twenty years have gone by and much has changed but just as much remains the same. Mark renton returns to the only place he can ever call home, they are waiting for him: spud, sick boy, and begbie, other old friends are waiting too  |

Apparently although not too my recollection I once shared a train journey sitting opposite Irvine Welsh.....
Or so claimed my traveling companion during that particular journey....
But I've never seen the movie Trainspotting ......

It took so long to come about because ewan mcgregor fell out with Danny Boyle.
He was supposed to be the main character in the beach but he got vetoed out by Hollywood in favour of Leonardo di caprio.
Ewan took a big huff and so everything got setback.
True story. |

I've been waiting a long time for this. Cannot wait to see Renton and the boys reunited. I've stayed away from reviews as I want Begbie's reaction to Renton swizzing them to be a surprise. I'm an Irvine Welsh fan but didn't take to Porno which was his follow up to Trainspotting. I hope the film doesn't take too much inspiration from it.

Porno wasn't that bad. One of the biggest criticisms was that it was a book sequel to the film, for example, Diane being a larger character than she was and a whole load of character being cut. Use of Scots wasn't as pure and it just didn't have that seminal feel the first book and film had. Just my two pence. |

They are making a sequel to Human Traffic.
And I understand that T2 isn't much like Porno. The basis for the characters is there, but it doesn't follow the story line. |
