geography - does it matter?

When messaging do people think that by stating which town they're from will make a difference?

I only ask because when I've been asked to meet and I've been unavailable there has been occasional for the reply to be a long the lines of whether or not I've fucked someone from that town. Just wondered logic behind it?

Not to us, we see distance as a mere blip to be overcome.

"Where would we be without geography?"

Walking off the end of the earth that we'd still think was flat.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I think it's important to study the land and people of this Earth so, yes, geography is important.

I don't see the location of someone as a reason not to message.

It just means that there is a little more planning in the meeting.

I'm heading to the the Isle of Arran in June so spelling and geography are both important. I could end up in the isle of Aran if I get it wrong.

I was supposed to meet a mate in San Fran some years ago. I was traveling from NYC and was late but he was in Canada and completely fucked his tickets up - there's a St John and a St Johns.

He went to the wrong one on the wrong side of the country, 1000 miles out and 2 days late

He did something similar this year... what was it?

OK, going from Paris to Marrakesh. He has a French passport but they turned him away. So he flew to London, got a UK passport, then back to Casablanca.

Two days of faff.

I don;t what is the matter with him.

I think us Irish are just used to travelling fullstop. I was amazed at how little travelling people would be willing to do when I moved over here.
