This is my favourite saying I use and say to people when they are going through a bad time..
Talk about what you don't want to talk about as that's what you need to talk about...
If you get them to talk about it it's no longer something they don't want to talk about...
Anyone else use anything to help people? |

"Don't be a cunt."
Ooooh this reminds me of "Wheatons Law" namely "don't be a dick".
My personal go to is that you spend your whole life living by the golden rule - ie treating other people the way you would like to be treated, but when did you last give yourself the same courtesy? Remember to treat yourself the way you would like to be treated to - you really are worth it!

You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. So, if it doesn't kill you or anyone around you, might as well do it. You only live once, tomorrow doesn't exist.
That and " Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero" |

"One of my favourites is 'let me be your safe place to fall'
Is this like when somone gets caught cheating and they go "it was an accident"?"
It's what I tell my daughter's actually. It's my way of telling them that no matter how tough the world is, I will always be a safe haven for them. Some on here are so cynical Sheeesh |

Actually it was simply a play on words of your use of fall.
Ie they tripped and fell being rhe common response to "it was an accident".
Be less cynical maybe

"Man often meets his destiny on the path he takes to avoid it...
That would sound so much better coming from a Tibetan Monk than a Jawdee though, dont'cha think "
Nah, works just fine when it shows a point. Even if said in the strongest accent |

"None, they are nearly all crap and mildly irritating. "
A bit scared to carry on this thread now...
But sod it.
My mum says this quite a bit "wish in one hand, and shit in the other. See which gets filled first". |

"Why should I remember my own telephone number, I don't ring myself...do you?"
I always reply - how do you remember your name if you never call your self out loud?? |
