Ok,- I know that this is a bit of a rant, and I apologise in advance!
I know single men get a really bad time on here, and in many cases it's justified, and that single women remain that mystical creature
Never has a truer word been spoken. I'm currently sat in a hotel room in nottingham city centre, having been stood up by a gorgeous lady from here. Pfft!! It's so frustrating when this happens, at least have the courtesy to text/call if something comes up or you chicken out. Don't just not do anything!!
Ah well,- comfy bed for one tonight then. Unless anyone wants to come for a drink in town? |

It happens to women and couples too. Maybe she had a genuine emergency and couldn't let you know. Does she read the forums too ? As it's not very discreet. |

im really sorry you have had this experience..whatever the gender..its just rude...its why i meet socially somewhere im going anyway first..still annoys me that you put time aside to meet people and they dont bother letting you know , or they string you along for weeks, till within 1/2 hour and then dont bother to return your text as you are about to go out of the door....then they are on here a couple of hours after, saying they want to meet..its a joke..those people dont get a second chance..but the truth about them comes out eventually xx hope you have a lovely night and some plans come together for you xx |

No, I met her on here a few years ago, she's not on here anymore. I wouldn't be that indiscrete to type that if she was going to read it!

It is rude but it happens to everyone. That's why a social meet first is my preference. I will not arrange a hotel meet unless we have had a social or met at a club before.
I haven't been stood up since doing this so it works for me. |

Not nice when it happens
Been stood up from cpls and singles over the yrs
Even worse when you have forked out for a hotel room!!
I do not buy into the emergency thing...only takes literally 2 secs to txt someone and say they can't make it..
Go down to the hotel bar and either get d*unk or pick someone up lol
Either way have a good night |

I know how you feel mate. Its happened to me as well. I was at the premiere inn hotel in Blackpool some years back and was supposed to meet someone. We had agreed to meet up that night and she had sent me a text to say that she was on her way. I waited all night and sadly she never turned up so I spent that night on my own  |

Never but stood up in a hotel fortunately - but I've been stood up on socials before - and at a club only last week!
Shit happens unfortunately and not everyone is reliable/considerate/trustworthy!

We've been stood up on a few occasions. Eager to meet then don't answer/reply to messages. Just rude. You turn down other meets as you have plans then it's too late to arrange any thing else. Hope you get sorted |
