I have a friend going through a rough time with his Mum dying, his girlfriend helps him by leaving 5p pieces about the place and this seems to calm him down.
His dad used to collect 5p pieces in a jar, when it was full he cashed it in, when he passed away we found loads of 5p pieces all over their house where he had dropped them.
Every time a 5p is found they always smile saying it is his dad leaving them a sign.
I think this is a nice thing to do, ok it can be expensive. But I mentioned it in conversation to some mates who said she was stupid to do this. |

It's a lovely thing to do.
I also have a family member who collects 5ps and when twice a year take them to the local hospice.
I often take a bag of 'saved 5ps' when I visit them. |

I get the feeling it was something to do with male childish minds, you know it is never cool to do something that shows caring when in a male drinking group |

That's an incredibly sweet and caring thing to do. |

The loss of a close family member or loved one is extremely traumatic and difficult for some to cope with..
We tend to dwell upon the negatives and the what ifs, maybe even blaming ourselves for their passing.
Small things that help restore the pleasant memories are helping when it comes to dealing with grief..
She is doing and great thing and supporting him in a very simple way by keeping his memory alive and bringing him close. |
