This popped into my head whilst having 1 of my long showers. Are we really just a bunch of sex addicts? I've seen loads of people on come on & off over the year (including myself) & made me wonder. Are normal relations just to boring or do we seek more to satisfy our sexual cravings? Why not just be satisfied in normal relations with 1 person? Why the numerous partners? Yes there are many reasons why each person swings but if was to visit a phychiathist, do u think you cld be diagnosed as a sex addict?   |

i've been in an 11 yr relationship and happy enough fucking only him, every day... at least once,omg miss that type of sex life.
some of us will be sex addicts,of course we will. some will have other disorders which means they cannot function without a lot of sex with multiple partners. if you feel you have problems then look into them yourself. if you're not coping then seek help. |

Actually, I've changed my mind. I'm not an addict either. I turned down a meet a few weeks ago because it was cold, dark and rainy and I wanted to watch a James Bond film.  |

If you like something. Ya goin to do it as often as you can. Regardless of what it is. Could be anything. Duznt mean your an addict. Does it. As long as noone is getting hurt. Why not do the things ya enjoy. Everyones different. N ppl should not be judged on what they like or not like. Well thats wot i think anyway. Lol. Happy fabbing. Or whatever you do in life. |

I dont think the number of partners, concurrent or not, or the frequency that we choose to have sex makes us or anyone an addict.
I think an addiction is when it begins to take over your life, and deprioritises the other things in your life that are perhaps less fun, but essential. Like work, exercise, non sexual or platonic or family relations,and of course conducting actions that will put yourself and others in danger.

I can be happy with just having sex with someone special.
And I dont have numerous partners either.
You dont necessarily have to be any of those things that apply to you to frequent a place like this. |
