Capt. Hans Geering: Do you not see that if you kill him with the pill from the till by making with it the drug in the jug, then you need not light the candle with the handle on the gateau from the chateau!

René: Simple plans are always the best.

What you are possibly getting mixed up with was he was seriously injured with head injuries in a road accident in 1990, but he survived and returned to work on the series.

Who can honestly say they don't find mispronounced vowel sounds interminably funny?

Clearly the writers did.

Great actor. Great bloke. Crap series.

If it's any consolation to those who think it hasn't aged well. Ok it hasn't. But don't worry. It was crap, the first time round. A bit like Are You Being Servded and It Ain't Half Hot Mum, then.

There. I've said it!

I believe it was something from a bridge whilst he was driving but I could be wrong, suffered serious head injury, you could see the scar in his later career

aye suffered serious head injuries in a car accident during the Burns' Day storm on 25 January 1990.[12] Although he could not afterwards remember any details of the incident, he retained a scar on his forehead from a piece of wooden advertising boarding that smashed through the car windscreen. Writing in his memoirs, 'Allo 'Allo! co-writer Jeremy Lloyd said he visited Kaye in hospital, adding "I believe part of his recovery was due to his agent getting a video and showing reruns of 'Allo 'Allo! to remind him who he was."[2]

It was my late father's most favourite programme. The quotes he used to make from it were so funny.

Oh Rene

My heart goes boom-titi-boom-titi-boom

Listen to me carefully, I shall say this only once...
