It's always lovely having new fab friends! So let's make some!
I find that I most often bond over mutual interests rather than messages out of the blue.
So in this thread, post 5 of your likes. It can be literally anything, from a book series, TV show, game, period of history, activity.
Then if someone likes something that you do, send them a message. You never know what could happen.
(Also no judgement please, if someone likes My Little Pony or Coldplay then we're not here to comment) |

Love vintage clothes, especially how women used to dress during the 20's and 30's during the prohibition.
I'm passionate about movies, and go to the cinema on a regular basis.
Best games to me remains Zelda and Mario
TVshow : The wire, The divide, Oz, Utopia, Black mirror, and In treatment
Last but not least I love tits |

You have great taste. Same for me with all of those. Although I'm more of a jogger than a biker/gym goer. |

This may be too general but I'll try not to be.
Music - R&B, Reggaeton and lately anything similar to 6LACK.its just so chill!
Sports - Basketball, Kickboxing, Scuba Diving, Rugby and sometimes Football
Movies - Action, Psychological ones that really make you think and films like The 33,127 hours, Sanctum etc
Socially - anything from regular house parties to sparring to shopping
I can't think of a 5th category right now so I hope that's enough for someone to have something on common with me

Makeup, some people paint canvas, I paint my face lol.
Music I'm quite broad on. I like everything from Coldplay to edm to bring me the horizon xD |

Scifi and fantasy, Firefly probably rates as my favourite series although I'll happily get my geek on to most of them to be fair and the netflix series The OA may be one of the best things I've ever watched, LOTR as my favourite film and books wise there are just too many to choose from - Thomas Convenant, LOTR (obviously), pretty much anything by Raymond E Fiest or Wilbur Smith and the tales involving Taita.
I love board games, Eldritch Horror being my favourite, but I'll happily play something lighter like Catan or pandemic. I draw a very firm line at monopoly though!
People, I find people incredibly interesting, and will happily sit people watching for hours, I love trying to understand people and their motivations and how their brains work.
Playing with kids, and I very much mean playing, all the way from getting into the play barn and joining in being a pirate, or getting hands messy and learning about non Newtonian fluids with cornflower and water.
Haven't done much of it lately, but I used to absolutely love playing pool - would love to be able to play snooker, but I'm way too short to do it well!!! |

"Scifi and fantasy, Firefly probably rates as my favourite series although I'll happily get my geek on to most of them to be fair..."
Only ever saw 1 episode of Firefly and since EE blocked all my online sources, I can't download them now.
I'm more of a Stargate fan myself - (except 'Universe', which was a bit pants - lol). Occasionally have a 10-season binge, on the box-sets
"... Wilbur Smith and the tales involving Taita."
I've got waay too many Wilbur Smith books (might have to start giving them away) - but also a fan of the Taita series. Didn't think the last example was up to scratch (a ghost writer, apparently) but still fairly readable.
Used to love Piers Anthony's fantasy books - 'Incarnations of Immortality' and 'Apprentice Adept' series, being favs. |

I love SG-1, Atlantis I also really enjoyed - Universe was the equivalent of Enterprise for me, great cast, great franchise to build on and they somehow completely managed to miss the spot.
I can't recommend firefly highly enough, outside of the dreadfulness of just one series that thing is worthy of worship!

I also love Wilbur Smith in general, the Courtneys having a particular fondness for me. I read and give books away when I'm done, but can't bring myself to give away my WS collection.
I've never read any Piers Anthony, so thanks for the heads up - I shall have to give him a try!

1. Food, yes food in general, willing to try anything edible and not a risk at least once.
2. The beach, not a fan of going in the water, more the sound of it.
3. Sociology, I raise your psychology and will sit and observe instead.
4. The walking dead, probably the only show I've been dedicated to once I watched it, also watched it several more times.
5. Spontaneity, I like the surprise or the last minute plans, ones where you think "fuck it, let's do it". |

Music mainly
Listening to - pretty much most popular genres from the 60's to modern. 90% of the time i'll go for aggressive, propulsive, sexual, violent music in whatever genre. From Iggy Pop to Grace Jones to Aphex Twin.
Writing music - have played in bands before but too little time for that malarkey now. Still write though, love programming synths and abusing guitars.
Also into watching combat sports (boxing, UFC) and films (current likes are films of Ben Wheatley and Nic Winding Refn) keeping fit, and occasionally reading about modern politics (not that I know a huge amount about it, terrifying subject tbh). |

1. Reading ... am falling over 1000s of books on every topic here. But especially history (and in particular social history, transport and the Tube), atlases, old encyclopedias, contemporary/gothy/fantasy fiction, Song of Ice and Fire, Rivers of London series, travel writing.
2. London ... it exasperates me in lots of ways but I also love it. Love walking aimlessly about, finding its 'hidden gems' and quirks. Looking up at its buildings, people watching, food of every description. Fantastic museums - best IMO V&A, British Museum, Denis Severs house. So much to see and absorb. Everything you could want really.
3. Music ... most of the stuff typically found on Kerrang and Scuzz channels. Absolute favourites are Muse and Biffy though. Also Green Day, Twenty One Pilots, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Foos. Love live music, large gigs but also pub bands.
4. Animals ... go to zoos a lot, mostly Colchester, Twycross, Chester. Can spend hours watching apes interact - have a special interest in orangutans and chimps. But also very happy walking in the country and just observing wildlife. Mad cat lady too.
5. Grayson Perry ... love his work, especially maps and tapestries but it's all great and fills me with joy. Find him really interesting, witty and intelligent. Have loved the various documentaries he's done, his insight into the people/situations he finds and perceptive translation of that into stunning pieces of art. A great deal of my (mythical) lottery winnings will be spent on his work. |

1. Books of all sorts (I wanted to go to a girls boarding school as a kid after reading the St Clare's and Malory Towers books). Really anything, But stand out favourites are the books of Julian May, Terry Pratchett, Ian Rankin.
2. Music of all sorts (played trumpet at school so have a fondness for brass). But anything from Barbara Dickson, to Robert Johnson to Kate Tempest via The Cure.
3. Drawing, painting, making "stuff"
4.The beach (i.e. the place 100m from my house)
5. I rather like life too... |

It's been quite a time, IIRC, since Colchester had any elephant calves. Think the keepers there are brilliant though, far more visible than at any other zoo I've been to and always friendly and happy to talk about the animals.
That beautiful house! I want to stay there but it's *so* expensive and you have to win a ballot first in any case as demand's so high. |
