What in your opinion wins and why have you given that reason?.
Now in my opinion kickboxing is by far the best and most enjoyable to watch I think k1 is better though as you can kick below the waist where normal kickboxing you can't |

A Kick boxer will always beat a boxer because you can always obstruct the strength of a punch be hand by kicking the legs.
A Muay Thai fighter will beat both a kick boxer and boxer because of the elbow can cut very deep instantly, also involve clinch and much more close combat.
On the other hand MMA jack of all trade master of none. Wrestling BJJ, Muay, Boxing etc. |

Kick boxing is mainly done as semi contact points, so I wouldn't rate a kick boxer in a fight against any of the following;
A boxer; also has the advantage of being used to being hit at properly and is used to attacking at mid range.
Thai boxer; often train and compete full contact, wider range of striking taught, kneeing and elbowing included as is clinching.
San Shou; as above
K1; a set of full contact completion rules not an actual style, popular with Thai boxers.
Kukushin Kai karate; as Thai boxing in competition only kicking to the head is allowed.
Kudo (Dai Juko) full contact karate mixed with judo it's brutal.
Brazilian ju jitsu; most fights end up on the floor.
Luta liver; as above but in pants.
Wing Chun; very very fast repetitive striking at the sort of distance arguments start .
100 meter sprint, saves on dental costs. |

None of you are taking into account the average MMA gym are linked to weight lifting and places serious health fiends go and train often daily. As opposed to maybe twice a week down mc tavishes mcdojo.
Also a smaller skill set i.e. Boxing means more practice of the few teqniques. However full contact training and experience will almost always win over a points fighter. TKD and kickboxing are about equal now. |

This is all dependant on whether a street fight or in a controlled environment. All martial arts have their advantage but it's down to the person. Bruce lee could batter most anyone with his style because he designed his own and also because he had high ability in it. He was just that fast and clever. It's what your body is good at first and foremost- Micheal phelps - usain bolt - and then if you are good at your form |

I got to 2nd dan blackbelt in kickboxing before I lost my licence in 2004, I also am p5 grade in Krav Maga which I did through working in the prison.
Don't think either of them would help me if someone really wanted to batter me. It also depends on the circumstances, a professional fight with rules and regulations or someone starting on you in real life. I'd rather not fight anyone at all.
My daughter has started kickboxing now she's 7 but she's done Krav Maga since she was 5 and will continue it, I think Krav is awesome. |

Whoever has the knife.
Theres a brilliant video of a guy teaching self defence and about knives.
He has his student standing there got his plastic knife ready goes for the stab dtudent excellently blocks and disarms him.
Instructor picks the knife back up and everyones clapping and then he starts going to the guy.
"Haha yeah well done, think yoire smart comming into my class and trying ro show me up do ya?"
And just arguing everyones gone really tense and awkard at it and then he jist lashes out with the plastic knife mid sentece student dkesnt have a chance to react and he got in a good 30 strikes ro the face arms body neck with the knife.
He turns around and asks him why he didnt block it that time as thats how itt will happen in real life.
All the training in thw world doesnt help as it onky takes a few seconds to do life changing damage

Krav teaches you how to disarm weapons, guns, knives etc, when they're held at your throat from behind, to your head, even when you're sat in your car with the window open!
You have your eyes closed and loads of people make noises around you, coughs, shuffles with their feet and then you're attacked but don't know what direction it's gonna come from.
But real life is completely different, I've done all that and would like to think is react in a real life situation and not just shit myself, though if I did actually shit with Krav you can use whatever weapon is around you, rocks, gravel a nice big steaming poop. I would pick my turd up and rub it in someone's face! |

"a good street fighter any day no rules in there world
ala Colin Firth vs Hugh Grant?"
Strangely I've done door work on and off for years, I've only ever come across the street fighter game. Yes there are people who fight a lot, the ones who don't get booted round pub car parks on a regular basis, I have noticed do train.
Usually in a sport type full contact style. |
