My year of change was definitely last year, those last six months were a rollercoaster, believe its for the better and I keep a positive outlook. I know what you mean about darker days, but in six weeks it will be much lighter.

I saw the Libertines bought out a new album last year but I can't being myself to listen to it.
I watched a few of the music videos at work and they look a right fucking mess. And not in a cool way. Pete looks like a fucking serial killer these days.

I always take it easy though I may get some work for a few weeks, I don't need really the money at the moment, and I dont normally take jobs without something I want cash for. But L (my wife ) won't be home until March and my thumbs are twiddling a bit much. |

I saw a 'thing' today of music of that era (because someone at work asked about band names) and it was organised by Google and Libertines were last. They were and could have been first on that list.

Really? I think Oasis is still fairly classic.
Their newer shit sucks balls though!
Indie/brit rock has sure moved on from that period, but certain bands defined eras. Oasis was one. Libertines were not.
Still, what a glorious period for British music all the same.
Do you still keep up to date with things? I tried to for a while but went off the grid and now I have absolutely no idea what is going on. I can't quite bring myself to start buying NME or something like some middle aged dickhead. |

For about 5 minutes The Libertines were the Oasis of their time. I'm so out of touch with modern music. The only modern artist I listen to is Lana Del Rey. You can can pick up NME for free from HMV, when you're popping to the shops. |
