I've been both kinds at different points in my life when catching trains.
I still try and be punctual when I have arranged either work or socially to meet someone. But if I am in my own time and I see that I won't make it without getting a wiggle on, I don't feel the urgency like I used to. |

Which one of you is coldest?
I'm always cold..... Hence the username "
You know I'd never read it like that! I always assumed it was something welsh and didn't even try! ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Never give a bus driver the satisfaction of ignoring your run. They live for it. |

I always allow enough time for trains or buses as I am only too fully aware that if I was to run anywhere, my knees would spectacularly implode and I'd collapse in a heap on the ground.
I'd have to be shovelled up and off to hospital for treatment!![](/icons/s/wink.gif) |

The only time I have to run is if one train is late and I'm close to missing my connection. A three hour commute becomes five if I miss the middle train.
Fortunately I only have to commute once every 2 months so it isn't too bad.
I'll never run for a bus though, they live for that. |

I keep a track suit in my laptop bag exclusively for this purpose.
Bastards*
* To all the nice lady drivers who do actually stop and wait for a straggler, I salute you.
** To all the bastard male drivers who get a kick out of driving off when knocking on your door, fook off.
*** To all drivers not conforming to the gender stereotype, if you wait, good on yer. If you drive off giggling, fook yer. |

Last time I tried to run for the train it left me horribly out of breath and sweating. Took me 15 minutes to get my breath back, like a goldfish out of the bowl, with a carriage full of early morning commuters starting at me with their dead, empty eyes.
So, I joined a gym and got the fuck in shape.
I don't want to miss a train or a bus or anything at all because I can't sprint 800 metres without having a heart attack.
I'm not ready to be that out of shape!

I tend to walk rather than get a bus but I will break into a jog if I see it approaching and I'm not quite there if 1) I'm not the other side of the road waiting for the green man and/or 2) There are already people waiting or getting on the bus (for the unwritten rule round by me although I can't vouch for the rest of the country is that you spend ages hunting for your change if you get on a bus and catch someone hurrying for it out of your peripheral vision to give them maximum time). |

I'm my younger days when I used to be habitually late for work I'd often run for the bus,n if it looked like I wasn't going to catch it I'd scream DRIVERRRR!!! at the top of my lungs n more often than not they'd wait for me!
Nowadays I'm not nearly as regularly late as I used to be but when I am I don't rush about like a blue arsed fly!
If I'm late I'm late.....fuck it!
Plus I've had a car most of the time since entering my 30's.
Never run for buses or women....there's always another one round the corner ![](/icons/s/cool.gif) |

I don't know what either of those are. When I want to go somewhere, I tell my driver to take me there? |

I think the last bus I can remember getting is the one to the terminal from the plane at Gatwick or the one up to the car rental place at Manchester; didn't need to run. Everywhere I go I drive or get the train/plane. Last time I ran for a train I dropped my phone down the gap at South Ken station... so no I don't run for them now |
