So with the allegations that surround Ryan Giggs... from wholesome family person, to serial cheat to the space of a few weeks
and for example, cheryl cole... who went conversly from assulting a toilet attendant... to nation's princess
so are the people that you liked at the beginning and hate now..... or that you hated at the beginning and now like....
(ex's don't count!!!!! )
do you ever think back and wonder... how the bejesus did you get it so wrong????? |

Odd one, but Prince Philip.
I used to joke about him as a silly old bugger who constantly puts his foot in it.
Then I saw a documentary on him and they followed him around for several weeks and I have to say I have warmed to the man greatly.
I guess it depends which headlines you believe. |

Ronan Keating. He was shouting from the rooftops about what a good Catholic boy he was.
His wife is the only girl he has ever been with & they never made love until their wedding night.
Then he goes & gets caught shagging somebody.
Chris De Burgh is another one. |

I used to like watching Tommy Cooper on TV, thought he was a star and immensely likeable.
Then, at a hotel where I was duty Manager, there was a function at which Tommy was the after dinner speaker.
He arrived and was an absolute pain in the arse from the start! He'd a few drinks, became really obnoxious, verbally abusive to his agent who was with him and eventually, the function organisers had to admit he was in no state to perform his task. We'd to call the Police to get him out as he refused to leave of his own accord.
He went down in my estimation from then. |

Years ago a new woman started in our office. She was blonde, stunning, and South African. This was way before Nelson Mandela was freed, so I had firm beliefs about white South Africans and disliked her immensley on sight.
We were paired together, much to my chagrin, and I had to go through all the policies of the organisation with her.
Well, what can I tell you. The friendliest, warmest, most sincere person I've ever met. We became the best of friends, went to the theatre, opera together. She came to my home, I went to her's my ex-husband loved her, and he wasn't a social person.
When I had my son, it was family members only allowed into intensive care. She came to visit me in hospital, and I took her down to intensive care to see him. My friend is 5ft 10, peaches and cream complexion, gorgeous blonde hair Clairol could only dream of reproducing in the colour palatte and a size 10. I'm 5ft 7, black and a size 24.
I told the nurses she was my sister - you should have seen their faces. They wanted to question us, but both of us were dead serious and they didn't argue.
My own prejudices made me dislike someone for what I perceived them to be, not what they actually were. I have a very good friend. Sadly, she married a Dutch diplomat (good for her, but sad for me if you know what I mean) and travels all over the world so I haven't seen her in a few years, but a nicer person I've yet to meet. |
