No am not taking the piss out of the other thread
I was just wondering if I/another Man posted a similar thread about meeting up for a social, A few drinks game of pool etc, Would you go ?
As I am straight it wouldn't be anything other then that but have any Bi/gay Men ever thought about it or Men without veri's ? |

I have mentioned it before, I think its a great idea for lads with a "common interest" to socialise. And to be honest a great deal of guys on here (myself included) should get out more. |

If there are no sexual intentions its just like any other club. I go out drinking with the lads from my local bike club I I didn't know them at first, when you group together men with similar interest and beer you cant not have a laugh |

I think its a lovely idea there a few forumite men that seem to get on particularly well. There's something special about seeing men getting on with other men. Maybe its because they're miserable sods so its refreshing to see them have a laugh |

They'd be having a laugh due to the 'no women' rule |

"I just the saw the 'other' thread.
Can I come to this one instead? "
The general consensus is that no guys would go to one so it would be just you and me? |

If it was local I'd come no problem you can never have to many friends especially if they share simular interests . |

"Probably not.
What about a m + f social?
There's the Sussex one on the 28th.
What happened to your beach party anyway?"
I didn't think anyone would attend. A few people said they would but you know how enthusiastic people are when one suggests something. |

Oh and by the way I play world of tanks on xbox one with a couple of guys from on here . So the girls who think us guys are miseries who don't socialise or have a laugh away from the pursuit of naughty fun you couldn't be more wrong . |

There will be other people of interest at the tea party. |

Go for it. Girl candy is looking good already.
Inform Joe though. I imagine he'll want a say. |

I'm on other forums and have met and made good friends with members of them so I see no reason why not. Few pints, a common interest, normally goes down quite well |

"I'm wary of making male friends on here now. I thought I was making friends with one and it turned out not to be the case. Once bitten, twice shy as they say. "
Yes, this is why I think there should be more than one word for friend.
My lifelong do or die friends are not the same as my chums on here. Well maybe one of them. |

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
I've often said those men who are too chicken to go to a club alone should team up. OK, they won't get the reduced admission they're hoping for by going with a woman, but they'll have someone they know there, and someone to chat to when they fail. |

"I'm not sure men look for friendship the same way as women may do.
Probably not but they still like having friends "
True but I think they tend to bond over a common ground like sport, hobbies as opposed to just meeting up for a chat.
Only an observation.
Would be interested to hear why the men who have said 'probably not' don't want to. |

I'm always open to the idea of a social
If I get on well with someone, probably a forumite, then I'd be interested to meet them
When I arrange group socials, then I'm as likely to spend my time with the guys, as well as the ladies and couples

"I just the saw the 'other' thread.
Can I come to this one instead? not even seen the 'other thread' yet.
But I'd go for a social. It's just a social right? "
I recon that is the main reason why most Men would say no, "It's just a social right?"
Like I said I probably wouldn't meet up with Men I hadn't met previously at a club or by meeting couples |

I offered a meet up a few months ago to all newbies male and female for a coffee and a veri to get them along the way, but seeing as I am the wrong sex (male) nobody wanted to take me up on the offer.
If I was female I'm sure I would be inundated with people wanting to meet... just goes to show what people are like tbh. |

I did that just last week, in Cardiff, as an impromptu meet
Forgot the fact that I want verified myself, as I used to be

Might do it again when I'm free.... doubt anyone wants to be verified by a bloke these days though, they might catch that 'ghey' what people talk about in here.
Mrs won't meet strangers before anyone asks! Prefers to meet in the club we go to. |

But yeah, I expect they would a/ suspect an ulterior motive and b/ rather did at home and moan about it then actually do something about it. |

I tried to get in to Chams at Darlaston on Friday night, as a single bloke, and as my first ever visit to any such club. There were no spare tickets for a single guy. So it would be a similar result for two single guys going in together Hoping to pair up with a woman to get a reduced rate entrance fee? Come on! Not fair You would certainly have more chance of getting in as a couple. Someone to chat to when they fail? Also harsh I'm sure the 'regulars' in the club would recognize a 'newbie' and make them feel at home? |

As in sociable full stop or with other men?"
I'm not a fan of large groups of people generally but prefer it if there are more women.
Large groups of men tend to get all 'laddy' and it's not me at all. I just get on better with women and always have. |

Spending time with mates or the company of a lady is nice. Meeting a random guy/group of guys for some organised friendliness, no thanks. I'm probably unsociable full stop as I don't socialise with colleagues either but that's just me. |

There are a few blokes on here that I'd meet up with socially, because I find them interesting and in most cases, we have some common ground. However an all male social with a larger group, nah, that wouldn't be my thing. |
