If you can, avoid them at all costs - far too easy to run up debt that you can't pay off.
However if you are able to manage them properly and pay them off each month they're a handy thing to have and as the previous poster said Martin Lewis' site is probably the best place to head for the best deals etc. |

Although bear in mind that a lot of them are dropping cash back or lowering the maximum you can make as they are having to drop the cost to retailers.
I've recently binned Capital One as they dropped cashback completely |

It's a great way to increase your credit score by using them, pay off the bill each month! As long as you do that the interest rate doesn't matter..
So it's just then seeing if you can get anything back from using it. |
