had a wonderful hol there a few years back. lovely beaches and lots of rock pools, plenty of stuff for them to explore. If you are taking kids don't forget your games, kites that kinda stuff. |

There is a great dinosaur museum called Dinosaur Isle that is very hands on for kids, JR Zone a soft play barn as well, Blackgang Chine is a great kids park with rides and stuff, Butterfly & Fountain world, a zoo, and Owl and Monkey Haven to name but a few.
I spent 2 weeks there with a five year old and we kept him busy and entertained no problem.

have fond memories of the place as a kid but not been back since - often wanted to but been deterred due to the fact it can be darn expensive to get there even though it is only a few miles off the mainland |

Been a couple of times as a 13/14 yr old & stopped at Bembridge. Remember the the QE II sailing from Southampton and having to walk miles out from Ryde to get anymore than ankle deep in the sea. Ventnor is the opposite though, two metres out & you are over your head on a very stony beach.
All brill fun though! |
