Apart from sex and wanking, what technique do you employ to help you slip into dreamland?

I find reading a good book helps, switches my brain off. Now staying asleep all night though that's another thing entirely.

work stupid hours,often find it hard to sleep..read relaxes my brain..glass of red wine keeps me from waking at 2am!

I suffer with twitchy legs (rls I believe it's called) but that's another topic! Also working shifts and having mental sleeping patterns this is a subject sadly close to heart.

Music helps me, there are also lots of meditation/sleep apps that are quite good but those frigging whales and oceans just end up annoying me!

I have a set of Bluetooth headphones designed to sleep in which are awesome. Called acoustic sheep.

I couldn't sleep last night too worried about being evacuated I found some of that lavender spray in my mothers room gave my pillow a bit of a spray next thing I know I missed high tide and it was half 7 ha ha ha manged to get 4 hours. This one is from Avon it's brilliant

I need to read to get me in my 'comfy' zone but it can't be a really gripping book or I end up staying awake longer to keep reading. Most nights I only manage a page or two before dribbling into my pillow... yes, I am that sexy! Mrs X

Read a good book...no matter how good, gets me nodding after a couple of pages. On the subject, anyone gone into a strange half-dream like state? Not totally asleep but started dreaming whilst reading a book?
