On the menu homemade steak pie with trimmings I have done the filling while the kids helped with the pastry its great getting the kids in the kitchen. Plus they have made a fresh fruit salad.

And the dinner!

I made a chicken madras from scratch... back on the diet! Was pretty good and now I'm going to park on the sofa for a while and decide which crime thing to watch first!

Chicken breasts (from my friends farm) & roast potatoes in sage and onion gravy, followed by homemade profiteroles filled with vanilla ice cream and homegrown strawberries, smothered in homemade choc sauce

Chicken stock with chili flakes, oyster sauce, sesame oil, garlic, dark soy, sweet chili sauce with scallops, prawns and pak choi

Rice noodles add at the last minute

Layered on top sliced roast chicken cooked wrapped In pancetta garnished with sliced chili, coriander and spring onions

Asolutely great... And helps with the permanent diets thought I did have a taste of a cake in Neros at lunchtime

Just back from dads where the menu was...pate and crusty bread, steak and pepper sauce, homemade chunky chips, onions, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, then chocolate cake and ice cream.

Eaten 3 hours ago, and I still feel full.

Coffee and telly for me the night.
