I turned 40 a couple of months ago and now so many of the messages I get say "are you sure youre 40?? You look great!" I know theyre trying to be complimentary but really? Whats so wrong with being 40? Starting to rather annoy me lol x |

we sometimes get messages saying "no way are you 60" which is lovely I'd much rather that than the faint praise of "you look great...for your age" |

I'd estimate a 1/4 of my inbox starts with *no way are you 48, you look better than women half your age, you can get away with saying you're 38*......yeah righty-o.

It is interesting how tastes/fancies change with age.
I remember when I was younger that anyone over 35 was just somebody's mum, but then you get there and they all look attractive (now).
I find Twirl more attractive now than when she was 18. |

there is nothing wrong with turning 40, they are just being complimentary.. obviously they are also hoping for a shag as well cos that's what they do..

So many times I get messages from a forty something guy to look at his face pic and wonder if he had the toughest paper round on the planet! |

Being honest i always thought you looked young for your age.
I understandvthough that receiving the same 'compliment' over and over can get dull.
I guess many people have in idea of whwt a 40 y.o should look like snd in truth. There is no set look for any age. I know 20 y.o that have aged badly.

Turn 46 in December... Been out and about tonight locally and been questioned on my age, apparently I don't look older than 35,I may just take that and sleep comfortably tonight... Happyboydotcom!! |

i get what OP means though. i've been told i could get away with being 30, as if being 40 makes you look like an old hag or something.
i think people can look youthful up to their 60s, have seen that personally and anyonw who doesn't just looks old for their age. no offence, i know people can't help how they age and that looking old isn't necassarily unattractive. |

It only seems a few years ago that I turned 25 but I'll be turning 40 this coming summer... I don't feel that age (or think I look it either!) but the years seem to have been flying by at an alarming speed!
To the OP, you look great... with a body that could put a 20 something to shame! |

I had it a few weeks ago in town was chatting to a nice lad but suggested he maybe too young for me. He was quite put out and suggested I prefer 'coffin dodgers'. I said no not at all but you told me your 24 I'm 18 years older than you!!. He wouldn't believe me had to show him my drivers leisence. We did laugh. |
