This is a thread to share tips for any men who feel they may need a bit of help with their erections.

Background:

Before Christmas I was knackered and stressed and my cock decided that he didn't want to join in while naked in bed with a beautiful lady.

A couple of years ago I had a similar issue and i got myself hung up about it, put extra pressure on myself and it got worse. That extra pressure meant that I had a bit of anxiety about it, which really doesn't help the situation

So this time I've relaxed about it and done some reading. There's not that much info about, apart from companies directly selling stuff, or acting as a front for those products.

If you search "erectile dysfunction" in these forums you get 11 hits, so it's not talked about much. But if you consider the people on here, collectively we must have an absolute fuckload of hints, tips and ideas.

So, I'm going to post what I've done which I think has worked brilliantly (although I'm yet to test for a full-on multi-fuck marathon session)

My approach (based on reports, studies and available anecdotal evidence)

Diet

Cut out/down alcohol

Plenty of fruit and veg (plant-heavy diets apparently help repair capillary function)

Almonds, eggs and fish (good fats and protein)

Plenty of water (or other fluids which don't dehydrate you, like coffee and alcohol)

Ginger (seemingly has the power to fix everything!)

Brocolli and sweet potato (I have a triathlon/ironman friend who lives on this 9 months of the year and he insists these, with fish or chicken have pretty much everything your body needs).

Supplements

Ginseng (for "vitality") and Ginkgo Biloba (increases blood flow to small capillaries)

Exercises 1 - health and fitness

Just move more. Shift some weight if you need to, but main aim is to get heart pumping and get your lungs working better.

Training 2 - cock training (the fun bit!)

All of the above is to help improve the overall health and effectiveness of your body, with a specific leaning towards blood flow, because that's how your cock works!

But, to make it effective, you need to get that blood into your cock more often to build a more dense and more effective network of blood vessels in your cock.

So my cock training has three parts (and finding a training partner, especially for part 3 would be useful )

A) if you don't already do so, wank more. But don't cum all the time. Just get your cock working as often as you can.

B) PC muscle exercises. Google it. Do this, lots. This is the area of your body which supports your erection, so helps if it's stronger (I think this is probably more of an issue for men who don't wank often because it's a set of muscles which will degrade like anything else which isn't used)

C) the combo!

When you can, practice/perform edging. Once you're really hard start doing those PC exercises again. When I do this I can feel the extra blood being pumped in.

Edge again and more PC exercises. Repeat.

The theory behind this is simply that with all forms of training you get gains from pushing your boundaries/capacity, which makes your body react, repair and improve.

By doing PC exercises while really hard, forcing extra blood flow you're pushing the capacity of your capillary network in your cock, in theory, telling your body to make more capacity.

Happened to me as well!

I think my head wasn't right at the moment and more pressure I was putting on myself, less it was happening.

I felt like shit tbh, and especially didn't want to feel like shit either.

It does happen, and yes it can be a bit awkward at the time, but acknowledging there is a problem helps (rather than continuously trying to kickstart it into life) and then you can both enjoy each other in other ways.

With regards vitamin and mineral supplements, if you eat a balanced diet, including the fatty foods, but limited quantities obviously, you should get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs without needing supplementary intake.

Lots of fresh fruit and veg, try and get as many colours of food in your diet, not only do they taste good but the colour variety makes food look good too so you enjoy it more.

And stress is a massive factor,

If you feel stressed, it's because you are..

By the time most people realise they are truly stressed it's usually at the point your body gives up and you end up really ill..

The slightest sign of stress, speak with someone, talk about it and try to remove the source of the stress..

If it can't be removed, then speak with your gp or a stress councilor who will be able to help you cope with the stress..

The earlier you deal with stress, the less likely you are to need medication.

Thanks for the good advice. Took a job behind a desk and don't get the exercise I used to have, but the stress levels are off the scale. Thinking the holistic approach of diet, exercise and remaining calm might be better for me.

Great thread. I think most blokes have suffered with this before. Stress and diet were the two biggest issues for me. I was working a lot and eating junk food a lot because I was working so much I didn't take time to prepare decent food. I have noted a lot of the "boner-foods" now.

Ginger (seemingly has the power to fix everything!)

Brocolli and sweet potato (I have a triathlon/ironman friend who lives on this 9 months of the year and he insists these, with fish or chicken have pretty much everything your body needs).

Supplements

Ginseng (for "vitality") and Ginkgo Biloba (increases blood flow to small capillaries)

Exercises 1 - health and fitness

Just move more. Shift some weight if you need to, but main aim is to get heart pumping and get your lungs working better.

Training 2 - cock training (the fun bit!)

All of the above is to help improve the overall health and effectiveness of your body, with a specific leaning towards blood flow, because that's how your cock works!

But, to make it effective, you need to get that blood into your cock more often to build a more dense and more effective network of blood vessels in your cock.

So my cock training has three parts (and finding a training partner, especially for part 3 would be useful )

This happened to me quite recently. My wife died earlier this year. Since then I have been using Fab for a route to sex without the commitment that I knew I wasn't ready for. It's commendable that guys on here have been opening up about it. Fair play to them.

From my experience, DON'T put yourself under too much pressure to perform. Stay relaxed, and DON'T think too much into it while you're (about to be) having your fun and frolics. Just go with the flow.

Thanks for the insightful thread, I will be following up on a few things advised here. I think I've got a much longer standing problem than most on here. I'm diabetic type 2, and one of the ailments is the fact that the vein controlling the blood flow to the cock can close without warning even midway through an act. This is if it even rises to begin with!!

I'm not overweight, actually very slim but still need to get back to the gym to get my testosterone levels upped. Partners do think it's them so I do give them the heads up about my problem and that I sure do make up for it in other areas by being very attentive and putting the woman's needs first. I can still cum from being semi or flaccid but it still affects me mentally. My doc just puts me on cialis and only allowed 4 of them a month lol. I'll be looking at adding zinc supplement and look up the exercises.

For me, it's really psychological - overthinking is a real killer. I've been in situations where my mind is thinking "why aren't I aroused, what's the matter with me?"

Look at exercise and diet changes to help boost testosterone.

This post is great. I'm already doing most of what the OP suggested but still having issues.

I understand that if you're in a relationship you can work at it together, my issue is when I'm in a club.
