My GP advised me today to try a Low Fibre diet for a few days whilst I recover from a Gastroenteritis bug which has inflamed my Belly, and thru to my intestines.
I just nodded in agreement but afterwards thought, just what is a Low Fibre diet?
I'm on meds he's prescribed to help with the stomach cramps, plus to relieve the constipation, plus paracetemol for pain relief and drinking lots of fluids too, but any other advice will be appreciated! |

Usual sort of progression after such a gut infection would be dry toast made with white bread, bovril or consomme, then white fish (like cod in parsley sauce), chicken, with boiled white rice or spuds and maybe peas then a boiled egg - just stick to bland food for a few days and you should be fine, nothing too rich, spicy or fatty. |
