My bloody van has decided to break! Nothing simple. Oh no! The drive shaft has gone and I am sat awaiting a roadside tech to tell me it's knackered before they'll give me a courtesy van. So a whole days work is pretty much up the swanny!! Calling around to make my excuses to my customers now. Aaaargh!!!  |

Yep! I thought that too. The local veedubya garage did a service a couple of months back and changed a misting shock under warranty and I'm wondering if they could've disturbed something whilst they did it. My knowledge isn't that extensive though |

Do you mean a shock absorber or a bush of some kind. If it's a shocker it will have had to be disconnected so it's possible your right but it's child's play and no real tech should miss it. Did you hear any knocks or banging coming from that side beforehand particular on full lock ? |

The whole absorber was changed out for new.
It started making the tapping/clicking late last week and I was told it might be a stone in the calliper. Took the wheel off and couldn't find anything. It was worse in full lock but makes the noise while driving straight too now |

It's not something that will just fail for no reason unless it's faulty to start with in which case they should have notice during the repair and advised you on it at the time or they've had some kid doing his apprenticeship do the job and he's fucked it right up.
To be fair vag are very good when it comes to warranty claims. They hold there name in high regard so if you have problems Fuck the agent off and go straight to vag they will kick the agents arse for you |

Sooooo, a lil update. The VAG tech turned up, got me to the local approved place (the same one that changed the shock absorber) and I spent all that time going between VW and the garage sorting a courtesy vehicle. I'm now home sat waiting for an offshoot of VAG to contact me and tell me when the van is gonna be delivered here (which could possibly take up to 24hrs).
