Go to a hospital ASAP and have it checked out. Seriously. Because facial palsy has other causes, not just Bells.
If in doubt, 999 it. That's the advice from the NHS website. |

I had it years ago. Went to my doctor to confirm and my symptoms were noticeable for about a week, pretty much gone within a fortnight. Artificial tears helped since I got a dry eye on the side affected. |

"Bastards..
Anyone had this before ... any ideas of how long it lasts?"
Yet another person seeking medical advice from swingers.
How do you know it is that? Are you a doctor? Go to hospital. Now. You can thank me later. |

"20 mins from first post to last and a hospital visit in between, good going, I know people advised you to get there quickly but that was quicker than usain bolt lol" he only asked did anybody know how long it lasted. He didn't ask what he should do about it. Clearly he had already visited hospital.

I had it years ago OP, they gave me steroids and it went away after 2-3 weeks. It can be caused by sleeping in a draft. Best of luck with the recovery. |

it may be this .. it happened to me !
but go to hospital and get it checked out
I had lost the feeling in the right side of my face and went to hospital.. triage immediately put me on a drip & trolley thinking I could be having a stroke.. after seeing a specialist it was something called " tri germinal nueralga" which is a foked like nerve system linked from ear to mouth like a big hand.. you may have trapped it or damaged it..
over period of time and exercises given to me by the maxiofacial docs it works again .
hope that helps. |
