I don't know a huge amount about the corporate world, but reckon it'd be a bad idea. All they do with a salary cap is guarantee that the talented businessmen/women of this country go elsewhere to seek their fortunes. |

Perhaps, but as soon as you do that there will be dividends and bonus payments galore anyway.
CEO at my company got an $11m package in 2014-15. Less than a third of that was his salary. |

If a salary cap was introduced they'd just weasel round it with bonus and share options etc IMO
But to be honest if I was in that position I'd also be aboard the gravy train choooo choo

If a company needs to find the best, who will create employment, secure jobs, in whatever sector and yes, profits as well, they have to pay for the best.
To have a salary cap is left wing madness. Typical politics of envy.
This idea was mooted today by, well everyone knows, zzzz, and apparently the latest is that the idea has been kicked into the long grass. |

Do you think a sportsperson who generates hundreds of millions through advertising and sponsorship should be prevented from getting a share of that money, with all that revenue going to the team?
Same question for any other industry where someone generates/saves vast sums of money for the company. |
