To be honest i wouldnt have been insulted, i dont drink the stuff but i would of just politely refused. Maybe that was all they could afford or didnt know what you drank. Not everyone drinks champagne all the while |

If someone expected me to supply them with champagne they would be disappointed. If you come to my house and want champagne you bring your own, if your out and everyone is drinking it fine.But i wont be buying anyone a glass/bottle of champagne while i sit on diet |

This really was meant light heartedly.
I would never expect Champagne and would certainly not ask for it to be provided.
