"Having a vanilla night out in Birmingham soon with a couple of friends.
Anyone recommend bars/clubs to go for 40 somethings
"
Hennessy's is a decent enough chilled type night out of you want to avoid all the kids. The Mailbox is good if you want a bit more glam though. |

Depends what you want?
I always hated drinking in the centre with the exception of The Wellington but realise not everyone likes a pub that plays no music and pretty much only sales ale.
I'd avoid Broad Street like the plague! |

There is, or was, a pub next to the bus station I regularly enjoyed a pint in. I can't recall the name but it was a staging post en route from Britannia Royal Naval College to HMS Caledonia. |

"noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
i had some of my best d*unken vague memories from that place
"
I know so sad, I have come out of there as it's getting light dripping with sweat after dancing my ass off. One of the best places to go out, no pretentious people, just every one getting their groove on |

Remember the lolly pops they used to give out, think they were refreshers!
Knee trembelers and furtive fumblings a plenty! |
