Dear Friends Fabbers and Forumites
Pooch and I do hope you having a splendid weekend, and that you have fun and frolics whatever you do.
Yesterday we were deep in conversation whilst out walking. I had bought some new boots and I was eager to try them out.
We discussed life the universe and everything. One topic that got us both thinking was our dream job.
We both decided , Pooch and I . our perfecto job would be running an independent record shop.
We would have vinyl , cd’s and the ability to down load. The shop would be packed with records old and new, for customers to peruse . To help with added income and the ambiance of the shop we decided to add a coffee and tea bar , so you could munch on homemade fancies and chat with your fellow music lovers or read the paper and music press. . We even chose a name
“Pooches Vinyl “
So chums, what would be your dream Job ?
Keep it classy , just a tad sassy but never too trashy

Not sure how far it is from your corner of Wales but White Rabbit records in Shrewsbury is worth a visit if you ever get the chance. It's ran by Miles Hunt (the wonder stuff) brother, a former Clash roadie occasionally works there and it us very much like the old independant record stores of the 80s |

Back on topic given my time again I'd either study zoology and get a job working with animals or train to be a pathology technician
I am lucky to have a job I love |

A professor at Trinity College. Or a boutique hotel owner and manager. Or a paediatrician at Great Ormond Street.
Two are fairly feasible with a few years hard graft but I'm actually quite content where I am currently. |

I would love to go back to nursing. I am chef assistant at the moment. But nursing was and is my passion. One day maybe when my son is older and out of the nest. |

I always wanted to be a fighter pilot, my attention span at school put paid to those aspirations.
I have opportunities to live out the dream to some extent in the planning for the near future though. |

Lately I've fancied running a vintage style tea shop / emporium. I've got ideas on how I'd like it to run in the day and also by having a license taking it into the early evening. Would have guest slots for local talent to perform music, reading poetry, selling their art that kind of thing. I'd be FOH, my friend would be the foodie.
I've seen the perfect place just need to win the lottery now

I thought it was to be a soldier, but that got boring after 5 years. Lynx helicopters are very cool, great fun been a passenger, so I can only imagine how cool it would be to actually fly them.
I'm actually pretty content where I am, which is cool |

I've often thought of having somewhere in Skegvegas where the bikers can put their bikes and change into ordinary clothes so they can leave their gear safe and not walk round like power rangers. I know some like it but it'd save a lot of hassle for them. Cafe, bar, showers the whole set up. |

Hi Taff,
I really don't want a job. I've worked all my life and I used to be ambitious and always looking for the 'dream' place to work whether the draw be money, fun or interest. These days I just want to be happy, content and free to pursue pleasure.
A job implies 'have to do'........ nah......

My dream job wouldn't involve having a job. I enjoy studying for its own sake so if money was no object I'd just like to do one degree after another in different subjects. |

I've been living my dream job for almost 11 years.
I set up a football coaching business on a Saturday afternoon for 3 one hour sessions with approx 45 children in total.
10 years on I have 6 coaches working for me coaching various sports to approx 1000 children per week.
I now have an after school club starting very soon with 4 new play workers and approx 30 children per day doing baking, arts and crafts etc.
I'm still coaching myself two evenings per week and weekend matches with a pro club.
I get a lot of job satisfaction and feel very blessed every day.
If I could do something else, I'd like to work in a young offenders institute coaching them to play but educating them to coach and maybe get some in to a placement upon release.

Mine would either be having a shop that sold 'geeky' items such as cosplays and film prop replicas.
Or I'd be a historical consultant for films and tv shows.
VS's would be working in musical theater |

Author, historian and general geek would be my top job. Essentially, I want to be Lucy Worsley, Suzannah Libscombe, Dan Snow, Mary Neard and Simon Schama all rolled into one.
If I won the lottery (aside from creating Heels Island, which is a whole other story) I would essentially emerse myself into academia and live in fusty, dusty libraries getting all giddy about old manuscripts. |
