"Have you tried the veggie version with onion bhaji instead of sausagemeat? Or a chieftain? Neither of them should work. But they so do."
I'm all over it.
To be honest - I'm more interested if I an make these things as half as tasty myself. |

"I just bought a couple of standard ones from Tesco after having not had one in years.
Mind blown."
Try a soft boiled egg, nestled within a peeled avocado wrapped in bacon, and fried.
That will blow your mind.

Now *that* sounds just perfect!
Homemade scotch eggs are okay, homemade black pudding eggs even better but supermarket scotch eggs usually taste like sawdust to me ... |

Don't do it. Put the snooker ball down and walk away from the microwave |

Umm I happen to eat a lot of scotch eggs, every guy I meet brings me a scotch egg and everyone has gone in the microwave, 12 seconds then turn it upside and another 12 seconds. Can't eat them cold. |

Just standard 800w, trick is to turn them upside down halfway through, don't have to be piping hot, just warm. |

"Do you think they have to be made in Scotland to be properly called scotch eggs? A bit like champagne and, well, scotch. "
I'm going to eat it. Not talk to it about it's ancestry. |

Didn't you know? You have to go to the highlands and gather them from where they were laid under the heather.
If you let them hatch out, you get Haggis |

I don't like eggs so it's a big fat no from me. Fred likes the runny yolk ones from M&S and a local farm shop do some pretty creative ones that always seem to go down well. |

"I like Lidl's scotch eggs.
But Aldi's are much better though
LIDL.
Is it Lidl as in Lid-l or Lidl as in Lee-dl?"
The correct way is Lee-dl, though I think they have relented now because the UK tends to call them Lid-l. With us not being German and all that |

I picked up what I thought was a scotch egg once from a shop I sometimes use on my travels.
Come lunchtime, into the micro, and out it comes, nice and hot.
First bite, and I know something is different.
It was called a Dragons egg.
Loads of chilli in the sausage meat, bit of a surprise, but lovely. |
