I was seeing a lovely girl for 3 mths when she invited me to meet her parents at their home for lunch.I couldn't believe her transformation into a rude, sarcastic spoilt, brat teenager to her parents. I had to sack her after that. She probably married a banker with the same temperament. |

I was about to record some audio books and needed another male voice so reached out to a guy I knew years back. The three of us met up and went to the pub, then back to ours before I nodded off on the sofa
Soon after I got the old "it's not working out" after 4 years and a child together.
Then when I had my daughter one weekend she told me that Ex and Friend like to take their clothes off and cuddle in bed.
She'd been fucking him behind my back this entire time, even after I asked her to look me in the eye and say there was no one else.
I've never trusted her again.
*ps to that story, turns out he was a c*nt who then beat her up one night, and who was the first person she turned to for help?  |

Not the last one - but the one before that( who I was married too) I came home from my friends after she had taken me for a birthday meal (and I'd stayed over) . Clearly came home earlier than my dear hubby expected as he was in bed with another woman

I was seeing someone for 6 months and one day he was due to come to mine for the weekend. Spoke to him at 4.30 about our day and confirming what time he would be at mine. By 9.30 he had blocked me! Never did find out why! |

Mine became extremely obsessive and hated me having friends. The day she locked me in my own home and tried pulling a knife on me because I wanted to see my friends that evening was the day it ended.
I say tried pulling a knife on me because as she reached for a knife in the drawer she pulled out a rubber spatula instead. Still makes me laugh hysterically now 7 years later |

I like to think that in most cases it is because we have grown apart, reality is I'm pretty shit at relationships and not always the easiest person to be with.
But thankfully almost every break up has been devoid of the drama and subsequent animosity that seems to be the common theme on this thread |

He had joined a dating site and was busy messaging 15 other women. He forgot to log out of chat so when i went online to do some banking all these messages pinged up.
His profile claimed to live with his parents but the thing i found unforgiveable was that he had put down he had no kids, whilst his 2 year old slept upstairs!. So he came home from work to find his clothes packed and on the doorstep waiting. I also messaged all the women notifying them what a lying tossbag of shite he was.
Two weeks later i discovered i was pregnant with second child. I decided not to have an abortion and he referred to our unborn child as a cunt. Any remaining feelings i had for him were killed stone dead right there.
I've been single since.
We do get on now though, but purely for the benefit of the children.

We had different needs which weren't compatible. He's an extrovert who needs lots of interaction, I'm the opposite. There was sexual incompatibility also, which eventually killed my desire stone dead. There was little drama, it was mutual, and we still get on pretty well now. It took years for us both to admit that it just wouldn't work. |

Mines bit embarrassing tbh, I was seeing a women for 3 months and things was going great, but she kept on asking and asking me to move in, I kept saying no its to soon, and eventually she worn me down and I moved in after for months, we went away for a long weekend had a lovely time, anyway a week later we decided to book a holiday 2 weeks Costa brava all inclusive paid my part which was £750 plus £400 for keep/rent then on the Monday after she txt me while I was at work saying maybe it was such a great idea after all you moving in so soon can I ask my landlord if I can have my flat back |

K - my ex became my ex because he was a fat lazy asshole, who fucked up the business I had set up for us, because his 18 year old son didn't like being home alone while we worked. was with him almost 5 years and he wouldn't sign the divorce papers from his ex wife, because that would upset his son.
M's ex cheated on him with someone he thought was a best mate and she got pregnant.

one because he made a load of dating profiles online while we were together, then lied and said they were old profiles. i just joined the same site and fucked loads off guys off it, then ended up on fab.
the one before that, LDR and we would never meet so i ended that.
before them, he online cheated on me, but emotionally, and i couldn't get over it. i'm over it now and we're friends still, he's at mine now actually -doing some jobs.
before him...docuhe ex. just everything about him was douche, good riddance to him. it was my first, and last, openly abusive relationship. i didn't really understand it, or him, but i knew i'd never 'fix' him and he wouldn't change so wrote him off as a waste of years and i wasn't planning on wasting any more.
before him, just got bored. he had mild mental health issues that made him unable to make any effort with anything much except going out for a drink on payday.
before him, he kissed someone else, proper snogging them, while he was out with me. i fucked everyone at work nearly after this, and we worked together.
anything before them was casual, nothing to end really as nothing properly started. |

Which ex ? ... at my age you acquire a few.
Most of them we grew apart, weren't compatible (such is life) but the last serious one was an utter shit. I should have taken heed that even his long term friends called him 'Billy' as in liar. He lied either directly or by omission all the time ... you end up thinking you're going mad and the bastard let me believe that. His mother was a spiteful harpy - she mistakenly thought having wealth made her better than anyone else - and he was tied to her apron strings, probably because of the money. He was crap at sex but wanted me to indulge *his* fetishes *all* the time, no thought to what I liked. And he conned me (and therefore my oldest child) out of enough money to have a significantly adverse effect on our future when I finally saw sense and left the bastard .....
.... and breathe. Thankfully my judgement is much better these days |

- 2nd One turned into a fat, selfish, lazy man-child - quit his job and took up permanent residence in front of either World Of Warrant or Call Of Duty, did absolutely nothing around the house, expected his Mum to cook all of his meals and just laid there like a fat sack of shit during sex.
He wasn't like that when we first got together and apparently he just thought I wouldn't leave him.
As we lived with his Mum I obviously packed my bags and left.

Ok, Well the one that fucked someone else had undiagnosed bipolar and it was part of the illness to feel so shit about herself the only way she felt better was to try and take a guy from another woman.
Seventeen years later she's still married to the same guy. Because I booted her out she changed areas & changed doctors, First visit, diagnosed & treatment started soon after.
They now live 20 miles away & we are friends on FB & I have been on m/c rideouts with him.
As we both have said if it hadn't of happened she possibly wouldn't be around & I wouldn't have met H & have two great kids.
He did say I was a fucking idiot for going with his ex though, which I agreed with

I married my childhood sweetheart. His family were millionaires. I had The Most Amazing Life until....
I couldn't give him kids, he became an alcoholic womaniser and one night decided to take his frustrations out on me. He broke my right arm in two places, two ribs, two black eyes and bruising to organs. I was just about to go for England trials too so obviously never made that
I divorced him and he died two years ago of an alcohol related disease. His second wife divorced him too!

Together we are just to similar so knock heads constantly but now we are apart we couldn't have a better relationship. Ex hubby and I grew apart after having multiple miscarriages, the sex stopped, the cuddles stopped etc. We agreed that I could seek fulfilment elsewhere. What neither of us anticipated was me meeting someone and falling in love.

Pretty Much my first wife, married a biker, sold bikes, dinner round in laws every week (think Mrs bucket) learning golf with father on law once a fortnight. All while I:m thinking "wtf I could be at Bol for the 24hr or at a rally or on a rideout".
I'd made a deal when we got married, four years and then I get another bike, four years comes, she wants to move for the third time from a three bed semi to a four bed detached despite there only being me & her. OK, here goes, Some of them from fucking other people, occasionally on both sides (so I'm not totally blame free myself or anything). There's been passive/agressive relationships too.
One of the latest ones was from alcoholism, she would just get d*unk and you could litterally see the moment she turned and would just become stupidly argumentative and arsey, leading to screming rows. It's a shame that I wasn't the kind of guy to tell her to wind her fuckin' neck in (but being to nice has always been my problem) a bit sooner, we could have had months less of having to put up with each other all round.
Reading so many posts makes me wonder if we should all be a support group for the fact that monogamy doesnt actually work all that well. |

It didn't put me off initially and she had 5...it suddenly dawned on me one day about 6 months ago that only one actually respected their mum in any way shape or form so I was never going to get anywhere, even though I got on with her kids and no matter how much I tried to help, negotiate, be vented at between them and her I was constantly fighting an uphill battle and at a loss of what to do or say..I still wished I could have done more. we are still friends and I am still in contact with them all.. Some more than others..A couple contact me for help and advice with stuff and I do my best to help and say right thing, I always let mum know they have and she is happy that I will still talk to them when they need to talk to someone besides her.
All of this hasn't put me off a relationship with someone with children though, other circumstances also helped towards our split. |

Mutual agreement. I asked her to lose weight near the beginning or our relationship and she told me to fuck off. I stayed, but after a year or so I didn't want to have sex with her all the time. Pmsl going a put my two pence in just for giggles really .......mother of my eldest boys left the UK n back to Spain the Menorca after we got woke up by six pikey types trying to rob my vegetable plantation 2 Polly tunnels cant blame them .....i jumpep out a bed then proceeded to rip up some floor boards n grab a pump actiong browning I had tucked away for just such a day .....kicked door in to there faces let two off one over heads over pepper sprayed them n they all fucked off for some reason only draw back so did she two days later oh well shit happens lol .........anouther memorable one was a lovely black lady we been together on n off over nearly two years she was a bit high maintenance to say the least loads a drama decided enough was enough next thing she saying that she caught train from torquay to glos and can I come talk ..ok fare enough when she realized I wasn't backing down she smashed a massive thourntons chocolate car on platform then stamped ot with her high heels n strutted off ....def a case of I love it when you go but hate to see you leave with that ass Mmm.hhhhh .....oh stressy jessy that was a good one been on n off for a few months played out together n all seemed ok at one a the dirty dozen does in Tewksbury anouther lady I was seeing on and off was there one thing leads to another we all ended up at my place good night was had woke up in the morning no jess other lady was there bit confused but thought oh well must poped home ....later in day I fall asleep on sofa to be woken by my mate going cant you hear that ....wake up every thing I mean every thing that c oils be broke was tv plates you name it ...she was out side saying she wanted her lap top from up stairs ....i whent and got fired up my chain saw cut it in half n gave it her not spoken since lol ......theres a good one involving a hot tub a blonde a angry lady and a samurai sword but I a save that for anouther day pmsl yes i was a cunt in my 17\26peroid have learnt n changed up |
