We had our first proper time waster in 9 years on this this site last night
Messaging for ages, exchanged numbers time and place arranged we turn up they don't, go to message them no response look on here and he had blocked us, very disappointing |

We have had the usually pic collectors and fantasists but that is the first time we have had a no show |

Not always the case the only no show for me phoned me a couple of hours before our meet to make sure I was still ok to meet and then decided not to show up blocked me on here then a few months down the line asked me to give him another chance! |

We arranged a social last week with a guy who didn't turn up.When we returned home we discovered that he had left the site!
He had confirmed the meet on the day and was well verified but that doesn't have to mean a lot does it?It's not exactly a tragedy as the vast majority of single guys and couples do turn up as arranged.
We always have a social in a pub close to home so if people don't turn we have a quick drink and go home.We have another social arranged for today so hopefully...  |

I'm lucky I've never been stood up, the lady has always given me a little notice as to why she can't make it. The only really one was the one who messaged me a couple of hours before our meet to say she had gotten cold feet, sorry, and blocked me. Ah well, on to the next one! |

The only time I've ever been stood up we'd exchanged numbers and been chatting off the site for ages. And he was messaging me up to a couple of hours before he stood me up, so no, it's not always an indicator. And then conversely I've met people who turned up exactly as planned, who had no verifications and we'd had no contact outside of messaging on the site. Sometimes someone just wants to mess people about. |

There's a couple of profiles we are suspicious of mainly because of the language they use and their manner. And when investigating further their verifications come to a dead end. Like there's 3 or 4 profiles all verifying eachother in a short space of time. Just little things that don't sit right like being very quick to send explicit pornographic images and video but apparently don't have any normal photos on their phone. All making you suspicious and if ignored i suspect will turn out to be time wasters of the worst kind. ie no shows. |

Not always,on my old single profile I very rarely gave my number out.Mainly because I hate talking on phone and after I got pestered when i gave it out to someone.

I'm afraid it does make me think of the last thread I started headed "negative profiles."

I have had 3 no shows so far. I too have had to cancel re unexpected events but always let the other party know.
No shows are such a waste of precious time. It doesn't matter how good your radar is it still happens.  |
