"Pass
This good looking young man in Kent
He could be just a little bit bent
So don't just say 'pass' joe
You might miss out on a blow
From the good looking young man down in Kent
"
A "correct" limerick there |

Oft, so close to a limerick! Very amusing though. |

Actually quoting your first line is the "correct" way to do them, and not the twist ending ones we use as standard today, so it IS a limirick after all!
Dave Gorman did a whole episode about them on Modern Life is Goodish |

It's to do with the syllable count not the repetition of lines but thank you for that... |

"Is this thread just turning into a poetry lesson?"
Haha, no. Well, it's sort of my Masters and I dislike being corrected inaccurately but apologies OP.
Hopefully you find what you are looking for - post in the meets section or you can do so on your profile. |

There once was a guy named Joe.
And a-hunting Fab-straights he would go.
He saw one from Kent,
Thought; Nah, not Heaven sent,
And went off to stalk a better ho |

My mistake, I misread a line and it flowed nicely as a limerick in my head. I obviously didn't know you had a masters so apologies for any insult caused |

You'd hate my poetry then, it rarely rhymes |

End it on 'And went off to fuck a ho' DJ. That'll be amazing.
OP, last time I promise! |

There was a young lady called Meli
Into hygeine, not remotely smelly..
Doing her Masters...
Hates literary lambasters..
So 'Fancy a fuck?'....Not on your Nelly!
Too busy getting my coat to count the syllables |
