skyscanner is good for cheap flights as you can check ou the whole month / year. If Turkey is your thing try finding out some hotels and contact them direct, often cheaper than brochure and can get all inclusive upgrades for less too

There was a report in the paper yesterday about Tunisia being a possibility for cheaper holidays. This is because a lot of people are avoiding the country due to the political situation out there, but tour operators have a lot of unused holidays.

Turkey is a fairly good bet, though it has become a tad pricey over the last year or so.

I'd a good holiday this year booked through Mercury Direct; very good price with no hidden extras. Give them a try as they do lots of last minute bargains.

.

Look online and then try an independant travel agent.

I have found that they will match and in some cases beat an online booking

You have the advantage of dealing with a person and in case of probs this can be an advantage

if you see something online, print it out and take to travel agents and see if they can match or beat it, we did this when we went to america a few yrs ago and got a better deal then through a travel agents

we going to Turkey first week in July. Flying out from Brum, and it's cost less than £300 all in, for both of us.

bulgaria is really cheap, and to fly go use wizzair or easyjet. Not much luggage allowance but you only need holiday clothes. Hotels are good at sunny beach. Was at Hotel Boomerang about 10 mins walk from beach was 90 quid for 3 nights end of July, bed and breakfast.
