In the background.

Does anyone else notice the background of people's pictures, and does this influence your view on someone? I've just seen a photo with a filthy ( as in mess) dirty kitchen in the background. Seriously I'm not the clean freak police but really it was enough to put me right off the person I didn't even waste time reading their profile as all I could think was how the kitchen do do with cleaning and tidying up.

It can do. The toilet ones really put me off.

I'm messy and I wouldn't meet me if I saw my pictures.

Nice pic and the carpets clean and clear just as a background should be

Kids belongings in the background are a big no no for me. I don't think they should be approved personally, I've seen a profile where the majority of the pictures had children's toys all over the place, instant turn off.

I find the background sometimes more interesting than the person in the picture.

Yes, it does influence my decision.

So glad it's a normal thing that most people look at. I do wonder if some of those people that moan about having no luck on these sites are some of those guilty of having backgrounds of rooms in houses that you'd wipe your feet on the way out the door!

Was looking at one yesterday. Naked pics of a guy in what must have been his young Daughters bedroom. An absolute no.

There was a thread in my first year on the forum where someone had taken the picture in a small child's very pink and fluffy room... with a picture of the child there. They didn't see the problem and got really narked that people were saying it shouldn't be allowed.
