are lovely and i consider myself to be one 
just like to say thank you to any driver who lets others out of junctions as ive just had the journey from hell and cursed about 10 people on the roads...

lol im laughing about it now but i was the 7th car behind one and there was a massive queue behind me. (my grandma looked behind - i was looking at the road ahead)
think we drove for approx 6 miles before it pulled in to give way |

I don't think anyone driving a tractor is doing it for pleasure. People seldom take a tractor out for a sightseeing trip round the Three Lochs or a Bank Holiday jaunt to Blackpool.
Yes, they're big and they're slow and the can cause traffic queues and all the other complaints we hear but mostly, it's just a working man (or woman) going about the business of putting food on people's tables. |

To the drivers who slow down to 15mph from the speed limit of 40mph to let a car out of a side road ....
Fuck off next time and think of the dozen or so cars behind you who have had to slow down or slam on. Keep fucking going.

Tractor, caravan, OAP with a fish symbol on the back of your Rover,or anything that trundles along at a snail's pace along country rods, FFS get out of the way when you have the opportunity to pull in, there are 20+ cars stuck behind you! |

As a few of you may know, I drive a tractor for my job. The nature of the work means I have to use a wide variety of roads from housing estates to fast dual carriage ways. Because of the way they`re constructed to do the job expected of them, tractors are limited by law to 20 mph. There is an exception to this when it`s something like a JCB Fastrack which although is a tractor, is a completely different animal. One of the things tractors do not generally have is suspension and it`s this which is the main reason why they`re restricted. It`s difficult enough to be able to sit in the sprung seat and control in on a smooth surface let alone our wonderfull pot-hole strewn offerings! If I`m on a fast single carriage road, I do try and drive with my N/S wheels as close to the verge as possible thus giving people a chance to see past me and judge an overtake easier, but that`s also quite difficult to do as well. Also, there`s a stretch of road I avoid as much as possible because there simply isn`t anywhere big enough to allow me to pull into and let vehicles pass. Some of you may know this stretch of road, the A31 from Wimborne to Bere Regis, the road with the wall with all the holes in and the Stag on the plinth. |

Tractors are fast!!! Now Tractors on catterpillar tracks, wait till you get stuck behind one of those bad boys on a dual carriageway, we talkin 15mph tops!!! Marrrrrvelous,lol  |

I think the old National Farmers Union guide for queues was 8 cars for a maximum of a mile but them you`ve only got to get a queue behind an HGV and that`s goodness knows how many cars straight away!
As for your friend not you have a go, shame on him! A few years ago I taught two children drive my John Deere! The girl was 13 and the boy was 10 and b neither had tried anything like it before!
Make your way down to Dorset and I`ll let you have a go in my one! They`re a piece of p*ss to drive but if you get it wrong the resultant damage can be quite spectacular!  |
