My blender is goosed and since I generally only use it to make smoothies, I thought I'd pick your brains to see if the nutribullet is worth buying.

Who has one and is it worth the money or do I just buy a new blender?

I have one and it's really good. Comes with different blades too so u can do a lot more than just smoothies (actually better than some blenders).

I just find it a handy kitchen appliance

It pretty much pulverises everything to the consistency of water. you can make smoothies by adding creamier products ice cream yoghurt etc. Its good. Expensive . If you're getting one get the one with the bigger cups and higher power as the smaller one doesn't make enough. I like it cos you can put nuts and ice into it.

Older Hot Bearded Guy

I bought one a few years ago. Sold it a year later. Found the novelty wore off.

I got sick of preparing all the veg & fruit to go into it.

One thing to be aware of. Because it's liquefied, you end up having to put quite a bit in, and have to put a fair bit of fruit in to sweeten it to make it palatable, thereby you end up consuming a lot more calories than you imagine you're doing.

Like anything the novelty can wear off but they're easy to use, clean, quick & can pretty much whizz up anything.

I use it for smoothies & soups.

I have one and absolutely love it. Doesn't just make smoothies, with the other blade you can mix which is good for dry things i.e meat rub, tortillas, you get the idea.

I got one for Christmas last year and use it like a mini food processor. It's handy if I want to make a small quantity of something like soup or even just finely chop stuff. I think I use it more than I previously used my normal blender because it's so much easier to clean and I'm lazy like that.

It's the easy cleaning bit that appeals.

Great Wyrley

If you can afford it ( I had to budget to save for mine) Vitamix is the best blender I've used so far.

Mainly used for green smoothies and juices, pasta sauces, milling and desserts.

Yay!!

I use bags of frozen fruit in mine along with the fresh, like mixed berries, makes the smoothie nice & cold.

Yeah I chop up fruit and freeze it for the stuff you can't already buy frozen but now I need to defrost my freezer. Still... it's keeping me busy.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Try to experiment. I use coconut rice milk or coconut water with pineapple and mango, or hemp milk. You can add all sorts of flavourings to perk up your smoothies, whether sweet or savoury. I don't bother with linseed or green powders as I eat well enough anyway, but chia seeds bulk up anything you add them too.

Just think how much those smoothies will taste now you are an ex_smoker

Has it occurred to you that with a better sense of taste sex is going to taste different as well?

You can spot smokers a mile away once the senses of taste and smell kick back in.

Am I allowed to call myself an ex-smoker on day one? I figured I'd need to actually beat it first.

I chuck spinach in mine, if you have strong other flavours you don't taste it, just doesn't always look that appealing.
