Is anyone a member of any non sex related forums for other hobbies? I'm a petrol head so I'm on several car/Land Rover forums and I'm getting into photography so I pop on photography forums too. |

Yes. I love knifes and cutlery. It's one of my hobbies and I've taught myself to sharpen to shaving sharp by hand. I'm very interested in the different types of steels, their chemical make up, what each element does and their uses. N690Co is my favourite steel.
It's nerdy but l love it. |

And I thought feminism had been debunked. |

Haha, that would be the one. I actually got recognised on here by someone on there also - a certain car photo revealed quite a rare car and it's not hard to put two and two together! |

Thought/hoped. It's quite interchangeable for you. And it's a forum concerned with helping women in developing countries gaining access to contraception, education and helping others with time provide resources and time etc before you start your anticipated rant. |

I opened an account on the Daily Star website so that I could comment on all the Fab-related stories and goad all the prudes. Does that count as a hobby?

The fact that only 7% of people the UK identify as one and the populist backlash that is indicating a change in opinions across the west. |

I would say it depends on how it's defined and on who is doing the survey .... But that is maybe a matter for the politics thread as will cause too much debate here |

My anticipated rant? Meli please don't flatter yourself.
I suppose feminsm is needed in the developing world, just not in the west anymore.

I used to be on a couple of photography forums, but they got so full of pretentious guys with bags full of shiny things but no clue, or old fashioned shooters who looked upon newbies like they were scum. The level of being talked down to and discouragement from established 'professionals' got ridiculous. So I stay clear now and maintain contact with the very few decent and helpful folk privately instead. |

I agree with the concept of not hi-jacking the OP's thread for a debate on feminism. Open your own thread & I'll happily have my tuppence-worth.

There are still a significant number of men who don't _iew women's sexuality as something relevant. You only need to look at some responses on the forum threads, mainly from younger males. However, it may indeed be because of the 'populist backlash' ... It will all roll around again, once things get too 'right wing'. These things go in cycles |

I'm not flattering myself - it's not a personal comment so flattery can't come in to it?
That aside, the feminism is debunked point is part of the rant I was referring to. I guess now you know it's to do with the developing world you can't bemoan feminism there. Well, you could. |

It's still needed here too unfortunately.
There are forums for everything under the sun, where like minded people can discuss the chosen subject or, more usually, argue about it. |

Haha, it is a bit! Men can be as precious and concerned about their cars as women with their children. I've tried a few car forums but that's the one I have stuck with. |
