It's Math 101. You know what you're consuming. You know what you're expending.
Change the balance. |

If its the 'last' 8 lbs... 2 weeks wont be enough...
There are some Fab diet threads around...;)
Good Luck... |

you cant safely lose that much fat in that time. you will lose water and muscle which is worse in the long run. roughly 1000 cals equals 1 lb. extra 1000 cals puts one on less 1000 takes one off. wonder what is so urgent!

"isn't the basic mantra of any diet ..
dont eat that, eat this!
dont drink that, drink this!
dont do that, do this!
"
Nah, it's
don't eat all of that, try some of this
don't drink all of that, drink some of this
try to do this, try not to do that and, above all
BURN MORE CALORIES THAN YOU CONSUME!

I doubt sit-ups etc will help shed weight. |

It's not impossible. An 'average' male body can probably afford to shed a certain %age of body weight over a short period without any long term ill-effects provided you don't do it on a regular, repeated basis.
It's all about balancing consumption with expenditure and reducing the former and increasing the latter will work. |

if it is that simple then why didnt Gordon Brown do that with the economy when he had the chance? |

"It isnt the "last 8lbs" i was off work for a month and i put a few extra lbs on and i really need to shift them now"
You'll remember what put them on. Avoid all those things, cut back a bit, a GOOD bit, on the things you already know aren't good for your figure and take a bit more exercise. |

There's a perfectly valid argument that that's exactly what he did and, given a bit more time, the results would have been very successful.
What Camoron and Osborne are trying to do is reduce expenditure whilst trying to maintain or even increase consumer consumption and, as everyone outwith the Coalition knows, people can't spend money you don't have. |

But surely, Gordon Brown was most outwith the coalition and he hadn't a fucking clue. Spent humungous amounts of monety his Government didn't have. Not to mention encouraging millions of ordinary peeps to do the same.
C'mon, you know it makes sense. |

"Sorry Eve. Some folks seem to have been distracted.
awww such consideration from a profile that stipulates "no tv/ts" lol"
Does the fact I have no interest in someone sexually exclude me from participating in a conversation with them, and others, about an everyday topic? |

Move more, eat less.
It does work and 8lbs in two weeks is doable. Count your calories... 1400 per day is sufficient to be healthy. Don't eat carbs after lunchtime and watch your fat consumption.

nope, absolutely not. I regularly speak to people in my life that I dont want to have sex with.
