when you wrote your profile? I mean were you writing it being accurate about yourself or were you writing it in a way that would attract a certain (whatever kind of) partner?

Well i put some thought into, i dont say im good at anything and i dont say im attractive. Thats up to others to decide but i think its a positive profile and i do get alot of comments about it. My favourite are from straight females |

Totally truthful, opened up about myself.
Hoped the profile shows my humour but also that I can be serious and am not a person who will be easily taken advantage of.
Added bits and pieces as and when over my time here have thought necessary |

good thread. I think i did mine to be compleatley honest and so that people reading my would show people im genuine, honest and reliable and can hold a good conversation.
The profile of me is a true reflection. Wether people are attracted to me, well, each to their own.
I have had people mail me and told me how good my profile is. |

found it hard to do profile as
A)not good at putting actions in to words
B) dont want to put silly wee things on it and put people off lol
everyone wants to make themselves known they are genuine and not false
not good with big words

I rewrote mine fairly recently cause someone made reference to it being a little intimidating. I wanted to avoid being negative and having lists of things I don't want. I can't be anything other than me, it's too hard to keep up some sort of pretence so I don't bother to hide my quirky things and just be honest about who I am and what I want. Slightly more than no strings but definitely not a ball and chain! |

OH wrote the original one and I've added to it and tweaked it as we've gone along. It's still not finished as such - I don't think any profile should ever be considered a 'final version' - they should all (hopefully) slowly evolve along with the people behind them. |

Well was late at night and wanted to just get on site to have a look around soooo.... lol just sat down and did it together. Have tweaked since then. Have made what we are looking for more clear so that guys find it easy and hopefully we cut down on junk mail. Also, guys who reply to it are usually the confident types which is what we like anyway so works for us. Once in a while get a stroppy message from a guy who doesnt fit our profile annoyed that we are so fussy and we think... thank god it works and filters out guys like that. lol
