2. Kinky-Minx for picking it up and running with it and then strong arming me into being the assistant

3. Pauly90 for offering to be my muscle when I became the last Highlander

4. _urvymama for regularly letting people know what was going on when they hadn't read a whole thread

5. All of you who nominated, voted or expressed support and thanks. Without you all this would have been just me and an empty spreadsheet. I have been blown away by the response. The only decision making I have been involved in was whittling the 110 suggested categories down. For everything else I was merely a conduit for your creative juices

Giving out an award for the biggest thread hijacker just about sums up these forums. Ever thought one of the reasons most of this site doesnt use the forums is because of people like him trying to show off on threads he has no interest in?.

Any categories would have generated some animosity. These ones = clique, silly ones = people angry because they think they are being laughed at not with.

What I find amusing is that the people complaining today took no part in category suggestion, nominations or voting. Bit like those who complain about elections and declare they don't vote in them.

I AM an attention seeking sycophant, but I'm not someone who's year has been ruined by not getting any attention, ironic much?

My point was the condoning of thread hijacking by an award. The reason i don't bother to post in the forums is because of having my threads hijacked by the same people who have absolutely no interest in my thread but just want to show off. And yes i do see the irony of me posting this in here.

I'm a regular poster on this forum and have been for 5 years, never once had a nomination (though I could have voted for myself this year but I personally thought it was a bit crass thing narcissistic to do). I'd have been chuffed if I had but it's not essential, I post because I want to and enjoy the forums not for recognition (though the OP gave me some In way of a thanks for my assistance) and I'm sure that's the same for most of the people that got nominations or won, which is why they've been nothing but gracious about it.

I don't feel there's a clique on these forums, it's just some people's personalities stand out more than others. So stop bitching about it and let's keep this process light hearted as it was only ever meant to be a bit of fun

Its a bit of fun. We all guessed certain names would win certain things, but I've also seen some new names winning and being nominated.

To be nominated you need to post occasionally and for people to get to know you. No good sulking if you don't get involved.

The forums can be a strange place from the outside. I've been here a while now and still feel it can be a strange place and yes you get overlooked from time to time, but just because people aren't replying to you doesn't mean they don't notice you. I get overlooked a lot and somehow won.
