Do you have first footing like in Scotland? There are a few quirks that still kinda exist here. Like the first person in your home in the New Year shouldn't be fair headed or it's bad luck. Or opening the windows to let the old yet out and the new in? |

letting my son stay up to see the new year in..
we have party food and watch jools Holland, he has appletize whilst I have prosecco..
then we go outside and watch the fireworks display courtesy of the castle at the top of the hill...and then head to bed |
