If it's deep enough to you fingernail caught in it it will probably need respraying.
Ask around at car body shops - it might only cost a few hundred quid if you're lucky. |

I work in a body shop, and like what has been said if you can catch a finger nail in it, it has gone to deep and will need resprsying. Cost wise around £500 give or take |

Reporting to insurance depends what your excess is and if your no claims is protected.
Our opinion is that it's worth getting a repair done in a reputable body shop. Get a few quotes.
It's a horrible thing to happen I'm not sure what goes through some people's heads. |
