I was grounded for a full year when I was 14 for smoking. It was about the hundredth time I'd been caught and mum was at the end of her tether with me. I remember it started in the first week of the summer holidays too |

I got grounded a lot.. but pretty much always for covering for my sister who had behavioural issues...
I didnt mind though as loved my room. Just read books.. wrote things and did drawings. If I wanted sweets or treats i lowered a bucket on a string out of my room and my mates would go for me.. and my bedroom had the bathroom roof under the other window. So I would sit out there on a blanket and sunbath or talk to one of my neighbours... |

lol that reminds me I got my pocket money stopped for 2 months after swapping my brothers new golf balls for Beer mats, had to pay for them |

I was constantly grounded, mainly due to being caught with cigarettes or actually smoking in the NAAFI, got slapped round the back of the head for that one, in front of a bunch of squaddies |

It's was kind of grounded, I got caught nicking a microwave Sheppard's pie from our corner shop when I was about 12 one summer, my folks made me help in the shop for the rest of the holidays, it was a bout 3 weeks. I had to go every day from 9 to 4. We didn't even have a microwave  |

I was 15.....mum and dad went to Ireland for a few days for a funeral and while they were away I drove dads car 70 miles down to Margate with my mates....
When the parking ticket fine notice came through a couple of weeks later I got a clout around the ear and was grounded for a month. |

I broke my dads ribs. I was grounded for what seemed like forever.
I got caught in my bedroom with a girl slightly older than me...that time was even longer than the grounding forever |

Never grounded, but i had a few good hidings.
My mum once gave me £10 for something and instead of spending it on what i should have, i bought ice-cream and sweets off the ice-cream man for a week.
My mum found out i was buying ice-cream and wanted to know what with.
I never bought a Mr Whippy from a van again for the next 15 years.

I can't remember being punished as a child. I was never made to stay in, or sent to bed. I respected my parents and behaved myself.
Didn't get one detention or telling off at school either.
Maybe that's why I like being punished now. |

i was grounded for two months when I was 11 got caught nicking caps from the quarry near are house didn't no how serious it was till Sargent told me they were connected to dynamite ready for the days blast in half hour phew got away with that ha  |

I was constantly grounded..my folks were really strict
I stole a chocolate biscuit ..grounded
Didn't hang up my clothes .. grounded
Caught smoking .. grounded
They gave up eventually, it didn't work |
