Does anyone else feel slightly sad when they lose a verification?
When somebody who has verified you goes UNLOS or blocks you and you can't see it any more you've lost that little record of the time you spent together.
I've lost two from one lady recently who said some very nice complimentary things about me and I miss reading them a bit.
Maybe it's just because I didn't have that many to start with and those who have more don't even notice? |

It's not freakishly cold to not get overly emotional about losing a verification.
Verifications are nice to receive for sure but to get over attached to the words left by an actual person but not be bothered about why they left the site etc is skewed in my opinion. |

Op, I understand your sentiment..
We all love a compliment.. even those that say they don't care are telling big fat porkies..
Everybody likes to be complimented for something they do...
Equally,don't dwell on the past, live for the future..
Just move on and keep the good memories alive in your mind.. |

Thanks everyone, I didn't mean to portray that I was particularly attached to these people or that I was even particularly upset to lose the verifications, more that it is nice to read nice things about yourself and it's just a shame when they are gone.
Rightly or wrongly I do have a small sense of pride when I get a particularly positive verification as I like to be liked and to know someone has enjoyed my company.
I didn't expect everyone to feel the same  |

I understand what you mean. Veris are very important to us guys, as a lot of women and couples won't meet someone without one. It took me ages to get my first meet, we gave each other great veris, then a week later she went UNLOS (she assures me it was nothing to do with me). She rejoined, did me another veri, then about a month later went UNLOS again  Luckily I managed to have another meet from a more reliable lady who gave me a veri.
So yes, I feel your pain as for us veris are hard earned and essential to meeting new people! |
